This lap desk works great for reading in bed or on the couch. As you can see by the picture, it is a decent size and unless you’re skinny, which I am not, I was not able to use this in the recliner. Lol but it works great for laying in bed and reading, there are a cupholders on either side and a flap that comes out to help hold your book in place. Item is well constructed and firm, able to hold the weight of a decent sized book

I bought this lap desk recently and I would say this is very helpful to work from bed or sofa. The size of this lap desk is very comfortable to hold on the laptop and work seamlessly. It has side pockets and cup holder which is added advantage and provides great comfort. This is helpful for kids to work on with laptop or reading and over for the price this is great desk to invest on.

I have tried tables, piles of pillows, and lying down. We know how much work you can do lying down. It's none. This meets my needs, and will allow me to recover from surgery while getting my responsibilities taken care of! Sturdy, the right height, and keeps my cup at my side.

I love reading in bed and this is perfect. It is comfortable and the perfect size. It is great for students that spend hours studying.

I figured this was just crazy enough to be a good idea and I am happy to report that I was correct. The only issue that I have is that it never seems to be my turn to use it. My daughter multitasks, watching videos, embroidering and snacking while I look in disbelief. Or the TV is on, the tablet is set to some instruction video and she is needle punching.The surface is large enough that you are not scrambling for space or a place to put things. There are two slots that can used for holding things or a bottle of water or soda. There is a cut-out on the top with a flip opening that will let you use your tablet on the desk and you can prop it up for viewing. There are slip pockets on both sides so you always have a place to store your phone, remote or accessories while you are working.The pillow is thick so you don't have to worry about your arms being fatigued from being held at a weird angle. This also keeps your to keep your back straight and prevents the fatigue that comes with a bad posture. Even when not in use it is still useful. Sometimes while sitting in bed and watching my table I prop my phone up or I can use the cupholders.The cover is removable where it can removed and washed. And the feel is incredibly soft. This seems to be the perfect solution to working from the bed or on the couch. I have no complaints. This pillow is much loved by everyone, and there is always a race to see who will get there first. I am rating this a 10.

It’s nice but thought it would be a lil smaller

I'm a short plus sized girl and honestly I didn't expect this too fit on me at all, but it did. I can't use it like the man in the picture, but propped up in pillows in the bed is just fine. The cup holders are deep and sturdy and hold full glasses very securely. I don't care for the flippy section, I find the fabric is too loose to hold the support pieces properly in place to keep a heavy device propped up. Other than those issues this is actually a really great design.

The NPET Reading Pillow Lap Desk is one of those things that you encounter in life that you never knew you needed, but now that you have found it you cannot live without it. I ordered this lap desk for my elderly father who lives with me. He enjoys putting his tablet on it. Once the tablet is put in the holder it is at just the right angle for easy viewing.The lap desk is soft, but at the same time it is sturdy. There are two pockets and two cup holders. I actually use one of the cup holders and pockets when I am sitting beside him, and he uses the other one. The cup holders are deep and hold cups securely. The cups do not move around once placed inside the cup holder. This lap desk works great on a bed or sofa. It will even work in a recliner if you manipulate the memory foam with your hands. The memory foam is easily manipulated, but is sturdy and strong at the same time. I am very pleased with this and will be buying more of these as they do make a unique gift.
