These horn are waterproof and suggest to tilted downward at around 45 degree. I installed the horn on my bike. Standing still the sound will hurt your ears, at normal traffic at 30 mph you can clearly hear it from inside a window/ AC on and moving. I tested install one in front and one facing backward each at about 30 degree from the axes of the bike in the opposite direction. With dual horns on the bike, at the same driving distance as before. The sound is loud enough to make others from vehicles nearby notice. I also notice when we turn the switch on the voltage drop quite a bit, to compensate we have to up the rpm quite a bit.__

For about $6 each, I didn’t expect much as far as horns go. These are small all plastic and fragile. They do work but aren’t actually that loud even when combined. They don’t really have a powerful defined tone it’s more of a wavering whine. I bought these to replace the enclosed horns on my boat. The boat horn doesn’t get used often so I’m hoping I can get a season or two out of them.
