Yes, you do need this!
Awesome stuff but I definitely think you need to leave it on for 10 minutes at a minimum to get a good looking etch. Otherwise, it just seems too light and faint. However, you can scrape the cream off and reuse it time and time again so you'll have lots of uses and time to practice with this to get the right amount of time for you.

Always consistent
I've used this product for years. Always a great result. Follow the directions and you'll be fine. Don't and you'll complain, but that's your fault.
