This is a great idea to help cut down electric bill cost during the hot summer months and to keep the house much cooler. This is a well made, heavy duty product. Installation was super easy.

I love that the kit comes with everything you need. It has two styles of installation so you can really adapt to what you put the blackout shades onto. We stuck ours right onto our window frame and it has held up for weeks already.

We were constantly getting sun in our bedroom, installed these and they black out our room completely. They come with velcro attachments, so the installation is easy.

I bought these curtains for the purpose of keeping my house cool as it gets really hot. Did not keep my house cool at all in fact my house was hotter than it was outside. 0/10 would not recommend for cooling purposes. Will keep them to see if they’ll do anything once temperatures hit 30s if not will be returning as it’s a waste of money. They do darken the room though if you don’t mind the tacky look.

Not what I expected

I am using this on my windows that get a ton of sun to help with the electric bill. They work very well and are easy to cut to size. No issues with it and I plan of getting more to do some other windows.

I love these blackout curtains!They are lined on the black with silver coating on the back, and some kinda of thermal layer in between. They’re a little heavier than the cheaper blackout curtains, but these actually block a lot of the heat as well! Which is a huge bonus living in the desert.They’re easy to install.Simply measure and add an extra half inch to each side so they overlap the edges of the window frame(to block all light).Add Velcro in the appropriate spots on both the frame and curtain - and hang.Very easy to remove if not desiring to use them for a season.Very pleased.Excellent quality.
