These pots are substantial.I had the same problem as others trying to find pots for use in a 6" cut out. Many were flimsy and fell through or just held on with the minimum of lip to hold on. Weight of the plant would likely push through eventually.These pots have a very sturdy rim which keeps everything firmly in place. Very thick walls should make many reuses a snap and save on cost. The per unit cost is already quite reasonable, but even a single reuse make this purchase a no-brianer.UPDATE: Several reuses later these net pots still going strong. I won't buy another brand.

If you're looking for Aquaculture pots, perhaps you don't need 'top of the line' pots and can settle for the softer, flimsy mesh second-best. But if you have a pond full of large, strong, rambunctious Koi you know that they can decimate those flimsy pots in a New York minute!These pots are super-strong, have a great lip that fit well if you're using them on a floating unit. They're even stronger than those large square mesh baskets sold for the bottoms of ponds used for Lotus and Water Lilies. There is a bit of "give" to them where the mesh is (open holes), but the flimsy ones by comparison you can almost touch one side to the other. The mesh on the bottom is also reinforced, so it will support weight if you're using soil or a heavy planting media. I'm really delighted with these.

All of my houseplants and orchids are in a semi-hydro set up, and these larger 6.5-inch pots are a perfect size for most of my plants. These mesh pots also fit nicely inside the 6.5-inch plastic pots sold by Mkono. These mesh pots are very sturdy and can stand alone by themselves.

Have not used yet, but seem to be fine. They look huge when first opened box, compared to the 3" net pots I have been using. Fit perfectly in 6" whole. Lip makes it sturdy. Has plenty of openings in sides and bottom for roots to grow out. Exactly what I was looking for.

Strongly recommend. The product is high quality plastic, that is hard and sturdy. It has a good price. I looked at other net baskets at my local stores and for a lesser quality they charged me $4.
