I recently purchased a compressorless cooler for my car, and I must say it's a nifty addition to my road trips. While it cools my items decently, it's essential to keep in mind that it won't reach the same cooling level as a regular compressor system.One of the standout features of this cooler is its portability and convenience. I tested this at home and saw a 26 degree drop in inside temperature compared to room temp in 20 minutes. I've only used it once in my SUV for an all day drive and it seems to work pretty well at keeping things cool with low power drain (50-55 watts). Do not expect it to keep canned drinks ice cold like in a refrigerator but it does keep everything nice and cool. Fairly convenient size. It opens up to a cube size but when closed the top folds together for the zipper so it's more of a triangle shape. Would be better if the top zippered around as a single flap instead of two sides zippering together...

This item is fantastic for keeping stuff cool for long trips. It does have both a heat and a cool function, but I only used the cooling function.I would not recommend items to be stored in this bag that are temp controlled items. I.E. if small fluctuations could ruin the item.We used this for a road trip to keep cheese and drinks cool and it worked fantastic. It took about 20 minutes to get cool, but once it was cool it worked great.We used pre-chilled items.

Unfortunately, for the one that I received the wiring is bad if you barely tap the wire, it shorts out and stops cooling so you have to make sure the wire is straight and do not touch it. It’s been plugged in for a half hour, and the bottled waters I put in (4) are not cold yet, so I set my timer for one more hour - so far I’m not that impressed. It’s not great.

Cold Drinks are coming out around 50° after they have been in there a few hours. Not my idea of cold by any means

The road is horrible an this cooler and if you leave it in the truck don’t expect to keep anything cool it will be 10-16 degrees warmer depending on heat and humidity out side

I was looking for something to keep drinks and other things cool in the car. I know a compressor cooler would be best, but even the smallest is relatively big and heavy compared to one with a Peltier cooler like this. It arrived yesterday and I've been doing some tests.First, don't expect to use it as a portable refrigerator. The best you can hope for is a 30 degree F temperature reduction from ambient: in a 70F room, that's down to a cool 40F, but in a 90F room that's a cool down to 60F. If you intent was to keep drinks cool, this is fine - but they won't be cold in a hot room.It comes with a 12V car adapter cable and when I use that with one of my "Personal Power Supply"/"Solar Generator" units, I see the unit pulls a constant 55W. But I also have a USB-C (PD type) to 12V adapter and gave that a try. With that USB-C adapter, it only pull 33W and works just as well. This makes for a pretty portable unit with a smaller Personal Power Supply, like the Anker unit in this photo - the 170WH unit could run the cooler for about 5 hours.So, overall, I think it will do what I need - but I do wish it could cool a little more!
