I have facet joint problems in my lower back, exacerbated by pain caused by a cancerous tumour.My daughter has a heat mat and she recommended I try hers before buying (not this brand, hers was more expensive). Honestly, it was marvellous and helped enormously. I didn’t want to pay what she did so settled on this one. I’m so pleased I did. And actually it wasn’t a case of ‘settling’ because this is every bit as good as hers and £15 cheaper.There are 6 heat settings but I’ve only gone as high as 4. It cuts out after 90 minutes as a safety feature.I find I’m using it every day and it’s a good substitute for at least one dose of morphine that I use for the pain. That in itself has to be the single most obvious reason to purchase if you’re in any doubt.It does the job, it’s up to standard finish-wise, and it’s a reasonable price. Wouldn’t be without it now and wish I’d bought it at the time of my diagnosis. I’ve missed out for the past 6 months!

I used to go through heatpads from Argos around every 12 months. Each time they would have some kind of fault. So considering this one cost less and was bigger, I had low expectations. However, my previous one lasted more than three years of heavy usage. Plus, being moved from one place to another regularly. I am delighted with it and it's a bargain price too!

I liked the softness and the feel of the fabric. I also liked the fact that it heats up quickly.I like the fact that it switches off after 90 mins - brilliant idea.I don’t like the outer covering that comes with it, as it’s rather cumbersome. If that could be looked at it would be great.Thank you.

I have osteoarthritis in my spine/neck that causes me chronic pain and muscle aches. It will never go but I will try anything instead of the dreaded pill popping. Physio isn’t helping muscle tension much atm. This winter feels colder. It heated up quickly and I have turned it down to 3. I am immediately soothed by the warmth and comfort. This in turn has relaxed me and eased a bit of tension. I have also sat and begun to read a book and this is helping to relax me too. I can see it giving me some circulatory warmth benefit and feeling of well being too. Anything but constant pain is a a welcome relief.

This is a poor quality product that doesn’t work. There’s no heat coming through the shoulder and neck areas. It is barely warm. I’m disappointed with this purchase. Why is Amazon selling products that doesn’t work and cannot be returned? I contacted the Seller but received a long winded AI response. Disgraceful.

Pros - Gets hot quick.Cons -1. Once you lean against anything it crumples and pulls away on parts of the back. It's just a big rectangle with an extra bit. so unless you lean on it there's big gapes.2. Neck strap is pointless. It either has to sit across your chin or try to put a twist in the velcro strap to keep it taught lower.3. Only 1 hour heat at a time, not long enough to make a dent in my pain.4. Cover on it shifts making con 1 worse. In the product images with the tufted/quilted image, thats the inside heat pad. The cover is same fabric but loose like a pillow case and has the elastic buckle belt and velcro attached.5. Cable going from the heat setting 'remote' to the plug is 1.5cm in diameter and is flat/oval shaped, great. However, the cable that goes from the 'remote' to the heat pad (because thats what it is, its the pillowcase with straps that make it anything more) is really chunky at 2.5cm thick and really round. its constantly pushing into my elbow or forearm and it's extremely painful.6. safety label is over 11cm square, again right by the elbow so it'd constantly rustling.It's weirdly designed in that aspect. the straps are placed weirdly, I'm not sure which size adult they'd be placed properly and the 'remote' features numbers on the left and roman numerals on the right. its odd.The heat is great but I wouldn't purchase again. I'd opt for a long hot water bottle or one thats more form fitted.

I feel better after use and its really worth at this price

This is simply one of my best purchases this year! I bought it over 2months ago and decided to use for a while before giving feedback. It has helped to reduced my back pain significantly. I hardly feel any pain at all while sitting at my desk with it strapped to my back. It also helps the early morning pains I used to feel from lying down on the bed overnight because I lie down on it now. I did remove the outer covering to feel the heat more and sometimes even put against my bare back. It is safe to use and the auto shut off helps to regulate so I can sleep off and it will go off at the appropriate time
