My dog is very reactive to both cars, bouncing balls and other dogs, with incessant barking and leaping around, making walking very difficult at times, and people being scared of him. However, just a couple of days use of the collar has really reduced this. The buzzing and vibrating when he barks distracts him enough that his excitement doesn't just keep increasing to beyond threshold. After just a week, he is happily walking past the cars as the habit of 'I bark and lunge and the car goes away' has been broken, and he sees the cars going away without him chasing them. It doesn't hurt him at all, he just wonders what it is and gets distracted from his job of chasing and barking!

This bark collar does exactly what it's meant to do. Couldn't be more pleased.

So far so good! Polly wears her collar in the evenings, when it's time to quiet down. She will bark once, maybe twice, but no more than that. It's been a revelation!!! No more incessant barking at the cats, at passers by, at me... Incredible.

I have four staffies and my neighbours were complaining they were barking whilst I was at work. These collars have worked absolutely fantastically. I started on one of the higher settings to stop the barking and then have reduced the settings just to keep it under control. They worked on the first day! No harmful shocks just a vibration and high pitched noise to bring them out of their barking phase. I would recommend these to any dog owner as a good method of controlling barking.

Unfortunately despite reading various reviews on dog type/size/suitability this was very ineffective for my dog. I own a long haired American Akita and the collar has no effect on her barking what so ever. Maybe not that suitable for long haired dogs.

Doesn't work well on Westies. They shrug then continue barking. They do stop if you throw it at them
