Kawasaki KLR650 ADVENTURE Series Rear Luggage Rack (08-present)

Excellent hardware and spacers. All the mounting holes were dead on. My only problem was the four large holes. I have a top box that came with a mounting plate. I would have loved to drill and tap holes in this plate to mount the top case adapter to, or even not use the plate that came with the top box and relocate the mounting points to this plate-but where I needed to drill 5mm holes, there were already wide cutouts... I ended up buying longer bolts and a peice of flat steel to make it work but I can't help but wonder what the manufacturer intended for these holes. I think just a flat plate with no holes would be fine.. Or just some slats in it. If it were thicker I would like it more, but it's fine for my needs overall.

I bought this for my '08 KLR650, to mount a trunk on the rack. The OEM rack (plastic) failed, torn up after a couple of hours of jeep trails. I incorrectly ordered the "sissy bar," but PMR took the return back, no problem. PMR shipped my new order very quickly. Installation went perfectly. This is quality laser cut aluminum, with all hardware needed, down to the countersunk screws and spacers to ensure it's flush with the OEM rack mounting brackets. The new rack has several nice places to hook bungee cords on. I've mounted up my new polycarbonate Seahorse trunk.Both for customer service (for the return), and for the very fast shipping, and the quality of the product, I RECOMMEND this if you're going to be serious about mounting a trunk on the back of your bike.

Rack is solid. The holes for the screws are not countersunk so you'll have the heads of the screws popped up all over this plate. Past the return point. I got screwed. Such a minor thing makes for a major issue. This is the only ugly, not esthetic after part to my motorcycle. Who the heck wants to look at a rear rack and see nothing but elevated screw heads? PRECISION MOTORCYCLE RACKS...if you want to exchange the plate you sold me with a proper plate counter sunk plate for the screws, I'd be happy to. Your original plate still looks new as I never use it because of the heads of the screws sticking out.

It was pretty easy to install. Had it on in about 15 minutes and it only took that long because of some other mods that were in the way. It works great with ROC straps... give you more options to tie down. I also bought their "sissy bar". I haven't installed it yet but I can tell it will be useful.

This piece is much lighter than the original part and at the same so much sturdy. Perfect Fit. It comes with all hardware you need to install. This is a product with more capability and options to hold your cargo. No issues installing my GIVI base case too. Size is perfect, a littlte larger than original piece.

Installed the rack - problem with the spacers. The spacers are not long enough to span between the center mounts and plate. Their around a 1/4" too short thus making one find something to help take up the space. At around $100.00 one would assume they could get the spacers correct. Rack was installed on a 2018 KLR 650 so one would assume 08 to present means it fits models 08 and later.
