Election 4K UHD [Blu-ray] [Region A & B & C]

This is a great film. Reese Witherspoon is brilliant in her role as a model student. Matthew Broderick's descent into misery is entertaining to watch as is Flick's meteoric rise into politics. It has some really humorous moments and is really worth a watch.

Always a fan of Matthew Broderick . this film is no exception ,was not keen on some of the language in it (don't expect it from him) but a clever and witty script well acted and I think underrated.A worth while addition to anyone collection especially if you a fan of both leading actors.Delivery was prompt and well package .Oh one more thing if I had waited three weeks it's now being shown on sky

Very Good 🧡

I showed this 15 certificate film to a class of 15 and 16 year olds. They were shocked, scandalized and traumatised by the numerous, unnecessary sex scenes and sexual language. They have made me write this review in class to express their disgust and disappointment. They cannot say anything good about the film, apart from a few of the naughtier children who found the sex funny.

Election is a fantastic underrated black comedy. My review is based on the Blu-ray itself. Picture quality isn't amazing, no better than an upscaled DVD. Daylight scenes are bright and clean, but don't have the sharp detail you'd expect on a Blu-ray copy. The only extra is commentary by Director Alexander Payne (the same commentary from the DVD).For audio, the disc carries English 5.0 Dolby TrueHD, French 5.0 Dolby Digital and Spanish 5.0 Dolby Digital. The subtitles are English, English SDH, French, Spanish and Portugese.If you already own the DVD, it's probably not worth the upgrade. Picture quality won't blow you away and there are no additional extras than what's on the DVD.

Le DVD était bien livré mais il est défectueux : au lieu de la version anglaise dans le choix des langues du film c'est du Russe (ou semblable). Je l'ai jeté à la poubelle.

I don't think that Election is a Great Film, but it's a good one. Which is why I bought it. I'd recently watched Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde and was spellbound by how lame it was. I dimly remembered having seen her in this when it came out and having liked it, so I bought the DVD and watched it again. I still like it. In some ways, Mathew Broderick is made for this kind of comedy, so that's good too. And given how dispiriting elections recently have been.... Enough said.

Well-made, low-key classic. A storyline that makes sense and carries the movie through to the end with a few belly laughs along the way.
