X30-30 Litre Industrial Steel Kit

Does what it is supposed to do it is a cyclone unit, (Dyson spent a fortune advertising how good these thing's are)I have used it to as a dust/debris interceptor for a large house refubishment i am working on. It has been used to vaccum 6 old chimney harths most with large amounts of rubble, lime mortar and soot in them, it has also cleaned under the floors where workmen have just swept piles of debris down under lifted floorboards it has been used to catch the dust from wall chasing, tuck pointing and sanding plus every other thing you would normally use a vaccum for. Yes it looks like it has been through the wars the paint has been heavily scratched and 1 good dent in it but it works fine. On this on job it has saved me using several expensive industrial fleece bags for my vaccum so 4 more jobs and it has paid for its self.I purchased a long hose to go with this and luckily it fitted with only a very small modification (I cut a piece off the hose attachment) and it fitted tightly this gave me 11m metres of hosing from my vaccum to the work space which is awesome I dont have to move around a heavy site vaccum I can just grab a handle and move the interceptor if i need to.One thing I would advise is dont open it immediately after using it especially if it was fine dust it takes a little while for the really fine particles to settle.

All steel construction. Very solidly made. Works brilliantly to intercept dust, wood shavings etc. before it goes to vacuum cleaner (so keeps the vacuum bag and filter much cleaner). Despite some negative comments about difficulty in connecting to 50mm inlet and outlet, I achieved this very easily and elegantly by buying two floplast black mini rainwater pipe connectors (under £2 each from Screwfix) and two extra vacuum hose spouts for my Trend T35A dust extractor - cutting the supplied Trend 39mm OD black pipe into two pieces ca. 1.5m and 3.5m long (the latter being used with the provided attachments for ‘hoovering up’ the dust from the floor or from portable woodworking machines such as my plunge saw). The Trend spout fortuitously fits snugly into the mini pipe connector which in turn fits snugly inside the metal inlet/ outlet ports of the dust commander as shown in the photo (please ignore slight dust in photo which was there before I got everything operational - everything is now virtually dust free 😊)

Extractor works very well. Shame it doesn't come with the adaptors the plastic version does

Great product its all metal construction gives confidence it will last. Have it hooked up to my Trend T35A by cutting a spare Trend WP-T35/037 T35 Hose in two and fitting two Trend CRT/3 58mm to 39mm Hose adaptors with some 25x4mm adhesive backed neoprene foam. The results are great it looks and performs as if it were a factory designed add on for the extractor. The cyclone removes all but the finest dust before the air reaches the hover meaning bag changes will be very infrequent.

Hesitated to purchase this item due to previous bad experience with dust extraction equipment. We have an industrial Mudsucker to remove debris from our CNC bed and had big problem with the interceptor system. This however does exactly what it says on the tin. Intercepts MDF dust, acrylic and composite metal sheet debris no problem. The vortex it creates amplifies the vacuum too. A bit small so it needs emptying daily but for the money it’s ace. Worth every penny.

Sorry to say i am quite disappointed by the X30 Dust Commander.....Paint was damaged on the lid and to get the fittings to make this work is a nightmare.....If it was not for black duck tape i would have been sending this back.....For what it is, it's very expensive :-(
