My granddaughter loves this kit and it has everything she needs for doing her Amigurumi projects.

This is really soft and easy to handle yard. Pretty pastel colors that give a lot of options for creating. Yarn has a small amount of elasticity or stretch and give to it.

The yarn in this is NOT your usual acrylic yarn. This is more similar to a t-shirt yarn style which makes it easier to see and work your stitches (no fraying or splitting). The yarn is a nice soft fabric and feels nice to work with. I had personally never done any amigurumi animals or anything that wasn't hats, scarves, blankets, etc., so I got this kit to learn some new skills myself. This is a nice kit that I think is great for beginners, and I could easily see giving this to children to learn to crochet.

I've used beginner/easy yarn a lot this past year, particularly to make amigurumi and keychains, and I love how easy it is to see the stitches while working with it, as well as the texture you get crocheting with it. This is a great set, with a nice variety of colors included. The box is adorable, and makes it easy to gift. The crochet hook and accessories are an awesome inclusion to the set too. Very nice quality set.

I’ve recently sort of re-taught myself to crochet through videos. My grandma taught me many many years ago but there are so many fun things to crochet now. This yarn doesn’t fray and it’s easier to count your stitches. The colors are vibrant and fun. I got it to make some head bands for a friend’s baby but it might be a little to thick. The skeins are small so there wouldn’t be enough for a big project but great for a small one.

This yarn is so easy to use and the color variety is just awesome. There is enough for so many little projects in this box, I’m still working with it. It has everything you need in it to learn to crochet, it is just a great box. If you wanted to gift it I’m sure someone would love it but I got this one for myself. I’m thrilled with it!

Yarn like this is excellent for beginners because it is impossible to split the yarn and you can really see the stitches good to learn where your next stitches go. It also is good for making amigurumi so that you can learn basic patterns of animals and creatures.
