I'd add a photo but the birds love it so much...
Bonka toys in general are favorites of our rescue birds. This Foraging Star is beloved by the budgie, Australian Grassland (much like a finch larger, almost like a parakeet), lovebirds, and conures. I believe the cockatiel would also like it but she is more of a scaredy-bird. The shredder pieces go first, then the sisal. Birds jump on top, dangle from it, and grab it with their feet. The bell is intriguing as is the clapper to the bell. I have this on Subscribe and Save so it can be rotated between the cages to combat boredom. This toy is colorful, has the all-important bell that many birds love, sisal to crunch and tear apart, shredded paper to pull, tug, and toss, and some wood to work out the urge to bite. It has just about everything which is why it's a Subscribe and Save item.

Great For Keeping Your Parrot Busy
Parrots need to have things to destroy to keep them happy. They are not simply contented with plastic, non-destructible toys, they need to shred and chew things. Some wood toys will suit their need to chew things up--but other toys like this one fulfills their needs to destroy and shred things. I've had these before and my bird loves to tear them apart. It keeps him busy and contented for hours and quieter. If you're new to parrot keeping don't buy toys on the basis of longevity alone, but things that they can destroy to fulfill their need for more active chewing activities.

Bird's happy, I'm happy!
Although obviously it'll make a mess it keeps my bird occupied and mentally stimulated. Overall 4/5.

NOT FOR LARGER BIRDS!
First, let me say that I've had parrots since the early 80's and even worked for veterinarians who were avian specialists - so I do have some experience and knowledge and I try to share it when possible. This is not an appropriate toy for birds that are larger than, say, your average conure. It's far too easily destroyed by larger birds and (worse yet) potentially dangerous. I'd hate for Leonard (the African Gray) to get hold of that little bell, for example. Or yank off a huge chunk of the shredded paper and perhaps consider trying to swallow it.However, it has been The Absolute Favorite of Bindy - who is a very small conure and who is not an aggressive chewer. She manages to make it last close to two months before it requires replacement and gets obviously excited when she sees me getting a new one ready for installation.

Bird destroyed in 3 days
My Quaker parrot has completely destroyed this toy in just a matter of days, it’s not held together very well. He did enjoy playing with it a lot in that short time though. I just probably won’t be buying again because we’ve used other longer lasting toys

Gives my Petey something to do!
I have an African Grey and worry about boredom when I'm not home. Petey loves this toy. He is working on chewing the wood pieces and he LOVES to pull out the paper shreds one at a time. The toy is a little pricey, but worth it for all the boredom relief for Petey. I will buy another one when this one has seen it's last days.

Budgie Must Have
It took a while for my budgie to warm up to it but eventually it became her favorite toy that she must play with every time I take her out. When I first received it I made sure to run my fingers through the shredded paper part and cut the parts that were looped in a circle to prevent her from getting her head stuck in the future as well as strictly supervised her with it but now after months of having it and seeing her enjoy it, I’m happy to have bought it and am comfortable leaving her alone to play with it
