good for the price.
darn near awesome. i got these because i really didn't want to drop money on the Clover crochet hooks. These have a very similar look to them so i gave this set a try. i have a clover 5mm hook, so i made swatches to compare the two.First some general comments for anyone who is trying to decide on any hooks. these type of cushioned hooks are some of my favorite. many hooks (on amazon) with handles are placed under the pad/grip area. this for me still caused tenstion since i tend to tight grip the pads. With the cushion type over the pad it takes allot of pressure away and offers alot of comfort. That is where i came to start looking at the Clover and Festival hands hooks. Both offer the pad cusion hooks but there is a difference that some might consider slight but i will list all i noticed.the head or point area on the hook probably made the biggest difference for me. As a novice crocher myself i have gone and experiments with hooks and i noticed that i work better with a more narrow pointed head. it allows me to manuver it through the yarn better. So with the Festival hands hook its more round and didn't thread very well through my smaller or tighter spaces. also festival hands hooks didn't have much of a throat area (the area you hook the yarn with). So that also didn't help a nub like myself.i did like the handle though, it has small groves to accomidate both popular holding style so the comfort level is what gave it a solid four stars.so over all they are great hooks and i hope to see another line of them with different heads and throats.hope this helps!

Excellent Product!
I purchased these after looking at comfort grip hooks for a while. I just couldn't bring myself to buy one hook at the craft store $5, and I certainly couldn't afford a whole set of the name brand type. I am very pleased with this product. One reviewer mentioned they are shorter than the average hook, which is true. At first it didn't feel "right" but I quickly adjusted to it and actually prefer it now. It sits perfectly in the palm of my hand. I think it was one of those things where our bodies get used to the feel of a certain thing and something else feels weird at first. They are definitely aluminum, and some have nicks but it does not affect the functionality at all. I am using a softer yarn for the project I am on and it doesn't snag or catch at all. The comfort grip allows me to crochet longer without my hand cramping up.The carrying case is handing as well and is a good way to keep them organized and all together. The seller also contacted me before I even received them to let me know they shipped and wanted my feedback when they arrived. I am very pleased with my purchase and have even posted on Facebook about it for my friends that crochet.

Learning to crochet? Ergonomic hooks are the way!
I ordered these hooks for my mother. She and I are learning to crochet together and thought these would be easier on her hands than the non-ergonomic edition. (I admit I got the 22 pack non ergonomic edition for $8). These have made a positive difference in her learning experience. The handles have a plastic coating feel to them. The numbers sizes are clearly written on the lower portion of the handle. If you are looking for the American designation (A through K) you will not find that on these. The sizes are the same but everything is in millimeters. With that being said, they are nicely made hooks. The metal portions of the hooks are solid. Paying just under $13 for this set was really a good buy. My mother enjoys them and with the bright colors, they are easier to keep up with. It would be nice if it came with a cloth case instead of the molded polypropylene case it comes in. The case is the "Hanging on the shelf peg" kind of case and not something that one would unzip and use. Festival Hands did a good job in constructing these. They are solid as crochet hooks go. Good job Festival Hands!

Very soft and comfortable handles, beautiful colors.
I've been using the hooks for a while now. I've decided to get the hooks because they seemed like a very good deal for the price, and other reviews seemed to support my thoughts.Handles are very soft, color differentiated, there is a small piece of paper inside the packaging the translates MM sizes to US sizes. My only problem with these hooks is that it seems that after around an hour of crocheting, I start feeling pain in my palm, as if the silicone part of the hook is digging and rubbing at my skin.A stretch or two and some rest fr my hands and all seems to be okay.

worth every penny
I have used these so much! The larger handles are so much more comfortable to hold. I have both carpal and ulnar tunnel and have been using these with a lot less pain! They help me to have less tension in my arm while crocheting. These are so affordable too! So glad I found these before buying much more expensive wooden crochet hooks. I test a lot of crochet patterns and these work great for even sts. They've gotten a lot of use and don't split the yarn like some hooks tend to do. I also like the blister pack they came in, it opens and shuts easily and is great for storing my hooks when not in use. (Most hookers know the struggle of lost crochet hooks!) These were my Christmas present to myself and were a great choice! They've gotten more use than anything else I got for Christmas. It's easy to find the size you need and the packaging has hook letter and sizes clearly labeled. No more digging through hooks looking for mm size when patterns don't list US hook sizes!

Economic and cute looking but if you are looking for quality.. look for something better
This set arrived in just a day... Kudos to Amazon delivery!First off, the colors look great! Size range of 2 to 6 is perfect for beginner and intermediate level crocheteers; since most project would be in this size range.Grips are tight and very comfortable; the soft grips are ergonomic and pretty relaxing for long hours of work. The package came with one hook missing; but thanks to Amazon policies I got to keep the hooks and my money.. So Extra Happy!!Grip heads did not impress me much; they could have been a better quality. Finish is not very smooth; a bit of snagging occurs because of this.
