It's been super helpful to have this lamp as a floor model. I can ride my recumbent bike at the same time I use the light!

I attached this lamp to my desk that I do a lot of work at and I really like it. It provides a bright, calming light. I like that you can clip it anywhere so that it's not taking up a lot of room on your desk. I haven't had any issues with it loosening or falling off. I like it.My Star Rating Rubric:5 ⭐️ - Perfect! I love this light!! I was worried about how it would work out having this over my desk. However, when we installed it I fell in love. The lamp is so slim that it doesn't obstruct your view or stand out obnoxiously. The light from it spreads cleanly and smoothly throughout the area and on that portion of my desk. There are multiple colors of light that you can have it shine, and each type is dimmable. The light dims smoothly.The neck of the lamp is extremely flexible and maneuverable, and the actual "head" of the lamp rotates on the neck. These features, combined with the possibility to use it as a floor or table lamp make the lamp extremely adaptable.The lamp has a cool light up touch control on the pole of it, and there is a cute very sturdy little shelf near the middle of the pole. The base is heavy so there is no concern of tipping danger. Lastly, there is a magnetic remote control that comes with it. I was able to operate the remote from across the room, so the range is great.I say again, I love this lamp! I am so glad that I will have it when winter comes and we have a limited amount of daylight in Alaska. Even at just under $100, this lamp is definitely worth it. I definitely recommend it!

I got this lamp because there have been times in my life when I have been depressed in the winter when I can’t go outside, and I thought this would be beneficial. That aspect, I will not be able to test until winter, however, this lamp has the number of LUX units to serve as light therapy.The instructions are not quite correct on assembly, but it’s not that difficult to assemble anyways, as long as you find the small telescoping rod in the box. It’s pretty neat that this can be assembled for use at a desk also. There are plenty of times when I sit at my desk for eight hours straight.The design of the light is a little strange as the cord comes out the middle of the lamp, and it’s not very attractive. As a desk lamp, it wouldn’t be noticeable. I will probably switch to that because I can’t stand looking at cords.The light settings are pretty cool and can be changed based on your mood, or what you are doing, such as reading or watching television. It also adjust for brightness and has a timer. Such great features in this light! It is even a wonderful light if you just need a light.

I love the base of this floor/desk lamp because it is heavy and you are confident to adjust, twist and turn the light without compromising the base positioning. The base is very sturdy and you know it will not be easily tipped over. The little tray is great for cell phone or key placement while you relax on the sofa. It gives you 5 light color temperature choices depending on what mood you are in or want to be in.. Dimmable via the remote control or touch setting on the stand itself. Just so cool how this is constructed so choose your level of brightness. Another cool feature is that it remembers your last settings even if you turn it off. You don't have to fiddle around to get the same setting that suited you previously. The timer ( for 15, 30 or 60 minutes) comes in very handy if you are using it in your bedroom and you fall asleep either reading or maybe watching TV. Another thing is that you will never lose the remote control because you can simply attach to any part of the lamp's body as it is magnetized. In the description , it claims to be UV free, glare free and radiation free. I am not sure how to vouch for that as only time will tell. The lamp can be positioned in any direction as it can be turned 360 degrees to suit your preferenceHowever, I am a little confused in the description which says "retractable". I believe it refers to converting the floor lamp into a desk lamp. I don't know where the retractable part is. I had to dismantle the stand to convert it to a desk lamp, basically to shorten it. Overall, it is still a great lamp to have and I highly recommend it as a good light to have.

Although this lamp is listed as a therapy light, it has many general applications. Light therapy is recommended to persons who suffer Seasonal Affective Disorder, which is emotional depression caused by decreased sunlight exposure during the winter. So one can participate in 30 minutes of light exposure by sitting under a bright light source (preferably white light), daily.The good thing is this light encourages you to use it while reading, doing work tasks, or while just relaxing. The light is very well-made and painted uniformly in white color. The stand has a sturdy bottom which has rubber on the bottom to prevent slippage. It has a very creative design by using 3 pole segments. Use all 3 segments to make a standing lamp, 2 segments for a nightstand lamp, and 1 segment to make a desk lamp. There is a touch control built in to the top segment. It also has an excellent remote controller which has presets for 15, 30, or 60 minutes of exposure. Also, there are controls to change the color temperature and brightness. It even has a night light mode.
