The Complete Rival Roaster Oven Cook Book

Bought this cookbook to accompany the roaster oven I gave my sister for Christmas. She’d never had a roaster oven so I knew this was a necessary tool to help prepare the scrumptious recipes she’d be learning to try out. I have both the roaster and the cookbook and they have made meal prep wonderfully simple, easy to use and follow.

I was disappointed that these recipes are all quite small - 4-8 servings max, smallish roasts, single chickens, etc I am looking to purchase a large roaster (my first) and want a collection of recipes for cooking for a crowd. This is not it. Even when the recipe says "can be doubled" the quantities are not that much.I went online to look for a "small" Rival roaster and could find nothing on Amazon smaller than 18 quarts. The book does not even say what size roaster the recipes were developed for, but sometimes a recipe will state."If using a 6, 8 or 10 quart roaster, adjust quantities thus and so." Very ambiguous.I bought it used. Glad I did. I will be looking elsewhere for recipes for a crowd.

The Complete Rival Roaster Oven Cook Book  This was a good beginers book. I bought it for a friend as a gift for Christmas. It had some tasty variety of recipes in it, that I made. Roaster ovens can be used for so much more than just large amout of meat. I most liked the way it teaches you how to make things you would make in a small crock-pot, only adapted and upscaled for big familys in the roaster. (she has 6 mouths to feed and if the in-laws come over for dinner, she winds up serving 12 people aprox)

Good cookbook - lots of good easy recipes for a roaster.

I ordered this to augment my cook book collection specifically for my retro Westinghouse electric roaster. It has lots of pictures to entice your cooking skills with your roaster!

Nice book but couldn't read the ingredients list. The printing is too light. Rest of printing is OK. Only the ingredients list.

This book has a lot of recipies however could not find enough recipies for baking cakes. Would liked to have more recipies for baking cakes & pies.
