Had a sneaky look at this in the art room at school. If you like pop art then this is the book from you - all the usual suspects plus a few that were new to me - a good buy and easily displayed on the coffee table

Great book but not a hardback- so wrong description by Amazon

The catalogue is excellent but the description of this item as a hardback appears to be incorrect: at this price it is a paperback. The hardback version,original price, is much more. Amazon need to correct their entry.

This follow-up to Mr. Coppel's first, "The American Scene: Prints from Hopper to Pollack", is an indispensible examination of the contemporary print phenomena, as well as a path to understanding some of the artists and printer/publishers that contributed to that phenomena. This catalog compliments the recent exhibition at the British Museum in London. It too is a must see for it's ambition and depth. All three authors and their contributions in this book are solid, purposeful perspectives on the subject. The illustrations and details are complete and vivid. If you have interest in learning about print or are already an aficionado, this book must be read.
