Work Shop: The consumer-driven transformation of Commercial Real Estate

Fast Path to Understanding Future of Work
This is an easy and enjoyable read to quickly go from 0-to-100 on understanding the future of work. I especially like the chapter on Leadership in the Future of Work. The author's point about the archaic pre-pandemic metrics on "productivity" was especially powerful. Middle managers will have the biggest challenge in the Future of Work -- it won't be enough to use hierarchy as a forcing function to drive productivity. Distributed teams will need to get comfortable with pushing decision-making authority down to lower levels to create a culture of "learning through responsibility". I think that's a wise perspective on how the best teams will evolve, and it gives me hope for the way teams can reach high performance in the new hybrid / distributed world!

A Refreshing Take on Real Estate
Joe's "Work Shop" is a breath of fresh air in the realm of real estate literature. Unlike typical books in this genre, Joe's blend of Behavioral Economics and Technology offers a unique perspective that's both enlightening and actionable. After just two days with the Kindle version, I felt compelled to add a physical copy to my collection. "Work Shop" is not just another book—it's a rare gem deserving of a permanent place on any bookshelf. Whether you're an investor or simply curious, don't miss out on this exceptional read.
