I had eye surgery and have lost my good near-vision, so I can't hold magazines and books so close to my eyes now. I have sunlight in the mornings but later in the day my room gets darker. This was a perfect solution. Good metal pole, perfect threading, almost an inch of thread. Remote control but I found it just as easy to reach over and use the buttons on the pole. Remote control is magnetic so I have it hanging on the pole in case I want to use it. "Color" adjustment, brightness adjustment, 1-hour timer, multi purpose.

I am pleased to say this was a low cost option that was well worth the money. I like the settings for the lighting , the fact you can break down the lamp into a smaller and more compact lamp for moving. Overall I actually would love get another one for my other reading area and I do recommend it. It looks fantastic in the space I bought it for and exactly what I was looking for. It was extremely easy to set up and having working within minutes.

Love this lamp! Easy set up, takes up little space. Able to adjust angle and height of lamp easily.Best part is the variety of light settings for reading, computer, daylight, evening light and able to adjust the brightness with each one of these settings. Able to make adjustments with the remote control, which has a magnetic back. It is always in same spot on side of my coffee table 😀. There is also a brightness adjustment/ on-off located on the arm of the lamp (great if remote should fail or be misplaced).I am visually impaired and have found this lamp invaluable, I plan to order another one.

Good remote, its magnetic so can stick to the light or any magnetic place you need it. Light is good for a bedroom. I've bought other lights similar to this that are slightly brighter but I'm still happy with this one too.
