When I started looking at trail cameras I was frustrated by the reviews and by the claims of the sellers. Neither matched the cameras I tried. So the first one went back straight away because it was rubbish particularly at night. This one is certainly better and the seller, Lakatec, gave good support.The first Gosira was faulty and the camera could only get power from four batteries even with 8 installed. I returned it and tried again with a replacement which we sorted out quickly. Amazon are not great at replacing kit they fulfil and it's a pain since you have to return the faulty item and then reorder. It's not a big deal but they could make it easier. They have no mechanism if, by the time you reorder, the item has gone up in price, other than to give you the difference as a 'gesture of good will' which you really have to make a fuss to get.The 16mp camera is an improvement but you shouldn't expect too much. I have the shutter speed set to the fastest available but there's still some blurring when birds are in flight. The colours are vivid and a little inaccurate. The overall image quality is ok.The battery life may or may not live up to claims. It seems to be eating them at a faster rate than expected but I'll see how it goes. When the batteries are low, IR will stop working due to insufficient power so you won't get any night time captures until you replace them.There are ways to make your batteries last longer - reduce the length of videos, switch sound off, choose photo only, etc. You'll see the options available on the simple control menus. It really is a doddle to change the options on the camera.Since getting the camera I have seen all sorts of wildlife captured on film including foxes, hedgehogs and many different birds. The quality of the video and photography is good enough to identify the critters you see.Images at dawn are the best. Black and white but nicely in focus.I use a 16mp SD card and that seems plenty big enough but you might want more if you video for longer or have very short gaps set between filming times.All in all, it's a good camera and certainly better than the lower MP cameras available but don't let the claims for high specs on these low cost cameras lead you into thinking you'll get high-res results.Oh, one more thing - here's a top tip - buy some RainX to rub on the lens, LEDs and PIRs so that you don't get fogged-up results. Just rub a little on, leave it to dry and then wipe it off.

This has been a splendid camera in all respects for several months until now. I left the camera recording outside whilst I was away. It worked for several days with excellent pictures until it rained and for some reason it fell over backwards. Rain water entered the camera, moisture could be seen in the display and nothing worked. After several weeks lying with the back open there has been no change. It doesn't seem easy to open it up to help with further drying and inspection. It is still within warranty but do I have to bin it?

I really liked this product, it took decent photos and videos. However it had this intermittent problem where it wouldn't switch on, regardless of battery power or whether there was a SD card in it. Returned, but probably would have tried to buy it again if it was available at the time.

I bought two. Both dead on arrival! And now I'm at a loss for what to do as this is the camera that seems to have the most genuine reviews. :-/

This unit eats batteries used it for one month and batteries have gone, supposed to last 6 months.

Ok so far. The two catches are annoying but they clamp well. Footage is good but the camera could do with a remote to turn it on and off without opening it. Today I forgot to turn it off before removing the sim card so I lost the footage taken of my newly constructed spring operated squirrel launcher sending a tree rat into space!The camera caught site of a badger in my garden the other day. I wondered what it was that tore off the bottom section of one of my feather edge fence boards. Foxes have never done that.To save on batteries I have bought a 20 metre low voltage extension lead. It takes a particular size plug and socket. If you need to know ask me in the questions section. Also found that Kodak Extralife batteries on sale at the Poundshop are way up top for quality. Don’t make a mistake and buy the zinc batteries though.Update:Since my revue I have now decided to knock some stars off. Half the time it’s doesnt turn on. It’s just dead. It does wake up after a minute or so but even then you can’t be sure it’s going to work. It’s all stopped recording at night.You’ll notice that most of the discriptions for trail cams tell you the batteries last months and months. What they don’t tell you is that you need to purchase very expensive lithium batteries. Good quality alkaline batteries are gobbled up by the camera in no time.The 6 volt power supply plug-in for some reason only works when it wants to. So that’s a waste of time too.Wish I hadn’t bought it now.Further update: I got in touch with Gosira and complained about the camera failing to turn on. Although past it’s guarantee date they posted me a new one, of lower quality, but at least it works fine!

Ich hatte als Vorgängermodell die Apeman H65 welche in einigen Vergleichstest als Preis-Leistugnssieger hervorgegangen war bei den Cams unter 100 Euro. Diese hatte ich seit Januar letzten Jahres im EInsatz, hatte hier aber immer wieder das Problem, dass sie zuviel an den Batterien bzw. den Akkus gezogen hat. Die Gosira ist meiner Meinung nach Qualitativ ähnlich dem Modell von Aldi gestrickt und funktioniert bis dato ohne "Dauerzug" an den Batterien (Varta werde aber wieder auf Akkus umsteigen) sehr gut. Beste Ergebnisse erzielt man hier bei einem Aufnahmeabstand von ca. 7-10 Metern Unterschiede ergeben sich letztlich nach meiner Beobachtung lediglich in der Anwendung bzw. der Einstellung der Kameras (Auslösungen etc.) sowie der verbauten LED's und Sensorik.Diese ist das Herzstück einer jeder brauchbaren Trail CamDie für mich wichtigen Parameter sind:- das die Kamera dank Infrarot-LEDs primär tagsüber sekundär aber auch hin und wieder Nachts aufnehmen kann- der Blitz der Wildkamera tatsächlich Dark Glow ist- die Kamera ohne externe Stromversorgung betrieben werden kann- das Gehäuse auch wirklich wetterfest ist- speziell die Tagaufnahmen Fotocharakter aufweisen (bei Nachtaufnahmen muss man in der Preisklasse einfach Abstriche hinnehmen)Alle vorgenannten Parameter werden durch die, sehr sauber verarbeitete und auch in der Menüführung und anschließenden Sicherung des Bildmaterials bei direktem Anschluss an den PC, angebotene Kamera erfüllt. Die Cam verfügt über das eher standartisierte Arsenal an Zubehör macht aber alles auch einen haptisch sehr soliden Eindruck.Einzig die Nachtaufnahmen wirken teilweise recht "grobkörnig" was die Cam bei einem höhreren Kaufpreis letztlich die Bestnote kosten würde, für meine Zwecke reicht es dennoch aus und aufgrund des wirklich guten Nutzermenüs, welches innerhalb von wenigen Minuten verinnerlicht ist sehe ich über diesen Makel hinweg.Die Nachtaufnahmen können in einem Radius von geschätzten 7-8 Meter noch als gut bezeichnet werden, hierüber hinaus verlieren sie mit jedem weiteren Meter sukzessiv an Schärfe.Fazit:Eine für diese Preisklasse sehr ordentliche Trail Cam, die sämtliche Erfordernisse erfüllt die ich benötige. Tagaufnahmen sind hervorragender Natur, die Nachtaufnahmen im Nahbereich bis maximal 10 Meter ausdruckbar und zum Vorzeigen geeignet. Hierüber hinaus lediglich als Kontrollbild zur einfachen Visualisierung nächtlicher Besucher geeignet.Noch ein wichtiger Tipp, die SD Karte (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) sollte sofern diese bereits in einem anderen Gerät verwendet wurde unbedingt formatiert werden, da ansonsten weder Fotos noch Video aufgenommen werden. Ich hatte dies beim ersten Einsatz nicht beachtet (wer liest schon gerne Bedienungsanleitungen) und hätte die Cam aufgrund fehlender Fotos fast wieder in die Retoure geschickt.

Sie ist unkompliziert und liefert überraschend zuverlässig schöne Fotos/Videos – auch in der Nacht (42 Low Glow IR LEDs, Sichtweite 20 m). Egal ob für Tieraufnahmen oder als Sicherheitskamera. Benötigt ganze 8 AA Batterien, idealerweise nimmt man gleich Akku Batterien und erspart sich das Nachkaufen.Sehr robust, lässt sich logisch und recht unkompliziert bedienen. Der Bedienbereich wird abgetrennt geschützt, daher ist sie ideal für Outdoor Aufnahmen (IP66 Wasser-/Staubschutz). Wahlweise mit oder ohne Ton. Faszinierende Tier-Aufnahmen sind garantiert. Endlich wissen wir was sich bei uns in der Nacht so rum treibt.

Nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten,Kamera blieb tot,funktionierte das Gerät doch noch.Mit einfachen Batterien aus dem Supermarkt und Akkus ging nix.Erst nach dem Einlegen teurer Markenbatterien kam Leben in die Kamera.Macht scharfe Bilder bei Tag und Nacht.Für viele wäre eine Anleitung in deutscher Sprache hilfreich

Mon mari est heureux de sa caméra le seul bémol c est qu il n y a pas de notice en français et sa sa pose problème il a chercher sur internet mais pas évident à trouvé. Elle fonctionne très bien je recommande

Lo mejor de esta cámara es la facilidad de programación en comparación a otras cámaras parecidas, es un punto a favor. Tiene muy buena calidad de imagen y un color marrón que favorece a que pase desapercibida. Como todas el punto menos favorable es la necesidad de 8 pilas para funcionar con el gasto que ello conlleva aunque tiene una buena autonomía. Viene con varios utensilios para fijar la cámara en un tejado o árbol para así esconderlo mejor, en importante esconderá bien porque yo ya he sido víctima de un robo de una cámara de este tipo. En definitiva lo recomiendo para quien quiera curiosear la fauna de su zona.
