Great shoes
I really like these shoes! I got them to be my new gym shoes because shoes with minimal sole are the best for lifting. My previous lifting shoes were high top converse. These feel pretty similar except they have a wider toe box and are a lot more comfortable. It almost feels like I'm just wearing socks. I do however, agree with the other review on the opening for your foot. It's definitely a tight squeeze and takes some effort to slide your foot in. I'm hoping with heavy use, they will stretch out a little and allow me to slip my feet in and out without any problems. Other than that they are perfect!

Best Everyday Barefoot Shoes + Helpful Sizing Reference!
These shoes are so comfortable and lightweight! The flexibility makes walking even long distances extremely comfortable. The sole and materials are a much needed improvement over the previous models. Sizing can vary quite a lot across the different Vivo models. I would say these run small considering I typically wear a size 8 (women's) in nearly every other brand, however, for this model and the Magna Trail II FG (which are also an excellent high top sneaker/trail running/hiking option), I wear a 7.5 (size 38). In the Tracker II FG am a size 8 and can comfortably wear both thin and thick hiking socks.Hopefully Amazon will continue to stock these or Vivobarefoot will decide to start making them again (this model is discontinued).

Very comfortable
These are very light and flexible. Almost like wearing socks. The sole is very thin as it was intended, but I had no problem adjusting. They’re very comfortable. I mainly use them for walking around the neighborhood, jogging and gym. I have walked on rocks and they’re fine. You can feel the different terrain but it’s not in any way uncomfortable or painful. Love these shoes. Have had them for a couple of months and been wearing them a lot.

SIZING, Appearance, Comfort, etc. (Honest review; i.e., I gain absolutely nothing by writing it.)
SIZE:I have been emailing Vivobarefoot back and forth for weeks. Customer service has been great. I used their online, printable tool to measure my feet accurately. I read hundreds of reviews and did loads of research before purchasing several different pairs in different sizes. Vivobarefoot encouraged me to order a size based off exactly the measurements I took using their printout despite seeing countless reviews claiming their shoes run small and/or vary in general accuracy. I should have listened to reviews first, and should have ordered a size up (not just a half size–a full size up). I tried the shoes on first without sock and then with. Even without socks, these shoes were painfully too tight.COMFORT + FEEL:I am relatively new to barefoot sneakers, but not new to barefoot shoes or to barefoot walking. I have been especially diligent in training my feet to walk (actually) barefoot on various surfaces daily for months. (I do not run, however.) I also quit using typical, non-barefoot style shoes four years ago. My IMMEDIATE impression upon trying on these shoes, even before noticing that they were too small, was how incredibly painful standing in them made my back, hips, and back of legs. I do have spinal issues, as well as many physical health issues; however, this was beyond unexpected. I, ironically, tried on a terrible plastic-y pair of sandals in a grocery store earlier this week, joking that the store shouldn't legally be allowed to sell someone a shoe so ridiculously uncomfortable and damaging to the body. However, even those shoes were just painful to the feet upon standing. These shoes–the Vivobarefoot shoes I'm reviewing–these were by far more painful to my legs, back, and hip–IMMEDIATELY. I wouldn't even have thought it possible. I'm very curious to see what caused that, if it's because of the inaccurate sizing or the material, etc. of the shoe, so I plan to reorder these in a size larger to see. But I was absolutely shocked by the pain. When standing, the pain seems to radiate from the heel, up the back of my legs, and into my low back and hips. Again, it's immediate. However, when I sat down with them, meaning I bore no more weight on my feet, I noticed the pain radiated from the widest points of my foot, right where the metatarsals meet the phalanges, or toes–this the points at which bunions form. I have had the shoes off for the entire duration of this long review, and the pain is STILL radiating. It's shockingly terrible. They also have a very thin sole, yet I could not feel the ground like I would expect to in barefoot shoes. I've had Vibrams before, the five-finger variety, and I could feel every crack and pebble. I could feel nothing in these and could barely move my toes–which, that reminds me, THESE ARE NOT WIDE SHOES! I have very narrow feet, and my feet felt trapped even without socks, so I'll say it again... THESE ARE NOT WIDE SHOES. They are VERY narrow!APPEARANCE:They are very minimal, and I think they are cute. I like the minimal look and the wide stretch of the lace bed. However, they really do look like work shoes. By work shoes, I'm referring to the tacky, slip-resistant shoes that are marketed to workers in restaurants, factories, hospitals, etc. Think black Walmart shoes. Again, I liked the appearance well enough, but they do look really cheap. In my opinion, this is because of the plastic-y part that wraps around the sides where the lace inserts are. Nevertheless, I also feel they looked exactly as the online picture shows. There is also a bit of glue still visible at the (big) toe bed; I will uploaded a photo. I've noticed this to be a common issue with Vivobarefoot through both photo reviews as well as their own online photo listing database. Therefore, I expected it, but it dramatically cheapens the look of the shoe.UPDATES:I will be reordering more for size, and IF my opinion changes, I will come back to edit or clarify any updates then.

Struggle to get them on.
They're ok. I like how it has a wide shoe box. I purchased these for my bunions. My only complaint is they are hard to get on. The opening is tight so I have to fight to get it over my heel. Once on, they don't feel tight. It's just getting them past my hell.

“Leather” is bothersome
The media could not be loaded. Bought these for the gym, they fit nicely, though the leather addition makes it uncomfortable when doing repetitious physical activity; bending down the material pushes into the skin around ankles causing irritation. Definitely makes the mobility feel restricted at times, and a bit uncomfortable.Additionally the tongue was pretty stiff and caused sores on the front of my ankle due to it rubbing and pushing into that sensitive area. This worked itself out and it doesn’t happen anymore. I bent the tongue inside to try to wear it out quicker.I enjoy the brand, would like to try a different type of shoe from them to better fit my needs.

Best lifting shoe
I love vivos and have multiple styles for casual wear and working out. This version has been my go to for lifting. Allows your feet to do their job getting the most from you lifting sessions.

Very Comfortable
I absolutely love these shoes they are very comfortable and fit true to size. They have a wide toe box and are comfortable to wear with or without socks. I know some people have said it is difficult to get your foot in due to the tongue being stitched in place but I didn't have any problems with this and like the fact that they are snug around the ankle once on. They are easy to slip on and off and I have now switched all my shoes to Vivobarefoot.

Great for workouts
These are really comfortable, great for doing kettlebell type workouts and just wearing around casually. I am still getting used to the barefoot feeling but so far so good. Would definitely recommend if you want to Improve your foot/ ankle strength.
