Very Pleased With this Case!!
The media could not be loaded. I was hesitant to buy due to the $370 price tag but I’m glad I did. I don’t normally write reviews but I figured I would since this is a good case and there weren’t a whole lot of other reviews. It’s very sturdy feeling. I wouldn’t be scared to drop it or toss it on the bed but I wouldn’t stand on it like in the videos. My banjo fits great. I did use one of the provided spacer pads but I don’t think it really needed it. It’s very snug and doesn’t move around at all. That goes for the pot and the neck. I like the built in hygrometer. It has a really good storage pocket for stuff. The inside is super plush and soft so it cradles everything quite nicely. It works nicely as a backpack. It’s a little awkward to get on but once it’s on, it’s quite comfortable. Very nice leather handle! The latches feel like good quality. I really like the TSA lock even though I probably will never have it on a plane. Very pretty on the outside. My only complaint is that the little brass button on the door to open the inside compartment is a little too small and awkward to grab and that’s me being nitpicky. That could be remedied by tying some paracord around it or pushing a leather tab over it. I’m very pleased with this case and don’t regret buying it. This will probably fit most banjos with a resonator and if it doesn’t, it comes with the pieces to make it fit. Look no further if you’re wanting a good banjo case. Hope this review helps you make a decision! Happy picking.

Great, sturdy banjo case
Excellent flight case for an open back banjo. Shoulder straps are great to have when carrying it through an airport, because the case is rather heavy. Supplementary pads provided gave a nice snug fit. Padding is excellent, and there is a hygrometer mounted on the storage compartment. I've only had to gate check once so far, but my banjo and the case were unharmed. The glossy finish will show scuffs and scrapes.

A quality fiberglass banjo case at a reasonable price
I got this case for a Huber VRB4 banjo, an instrument closely patterned after a 1930s vintage Gibson mastertone 5-string. The case fits this particular instrument very well even without the two extra 4 x 14 inch pads supplied with it. The Huber has a 26.25 inch scale, but another bluegrass banjo I have with a longer 27 inch scale is about an inch too long to fit well in the case (this banjo does fit in the slightly longer AVS or TKL plywood cases). Before ordering you should measure the length of your banjo neck, which should be no more than 26 inches. Both banjos have the standard 14 inch diameter resonator which fits well in the case. With the Huber banjo, the handle is correctly positioned for a well balanced load and the rubber valance allows a tight water-resistant lock. This case is not quite as strong (or as heavy) as a Calton case and lacks the rubber bumpers and textured surface of the Calton, but since it sells for about a quarter of the price of the Calton I think it is a remarkably good value. It comes with two padded straps that can be used to carry the case as a backpack, or one of them can be used as a shoulder strap. Not shown in the illustration, the case I got has a TSA approved locking latch, which should be handy if you have to check it for a flight. When I got it the case it had a strong solvent smell from the glue used to attaching the lining, which is to be expected since the case is virtually air tight. This goes away when the case is left open for several days and I would recommend doing that to avoid any chance of damaging your banjo's lacquer finish.

A banjo case worth the price!
I've played bluegrass banjo for over 40 years. I've owned and handled many cases. This banjo case gets 5 stars from me! With the case body being seemless fiberglass, it is virtually rain-proof. There is a nice rubber seal completely around the edge. I have to tug a little on the upper-lid to get it to release the seal and open. The handle is very sturdy and comfortable. It comes with two different attachable straps. One strap lets you put it over a shoulder. The other strap is actually a harness letting you carry the banjo like a backpack. Being fiberglass it is lighter than any other case that I have used. It is more than sturdy enough for general use and protection. I did not purchase this case to use when flying. I use a "flight case" for that. But, my flight case is a bit heavy to carry around for day to day use. And my flight case cost 3 times more than this nice case.I would highly recommend this case to anyone.

Well-designed from a working musician's viewpoint
This case (fiberglass edition) exceeded my expectations. It fit my Gibson RB-250 resonator banjo perfectly, despite being a couple inches shorter than my Gibson original hardshell case and having a larger accessory area than the original. This Crossrock case is definitely a step up from the original. The inside braces support my banjo neck well and the case balances well when carrying it. It also looks awesome. Comes with straps and built-in hardware to allow either from-the-shoulder carrying or backpack style—a very nice addition that comes in handy when your hands are otherwise busy carrying other luggage, or if you hope to transport your banjo and case while riding a bicycle, scooter, etc.The black clasps used for closing and sealing the case are smaller than on most other cases and at first glance might look inferior to the larger brass clasps usually seen on hard cases— but they turn out to be significantly superior. They hold tight and, being smaller and spring-loaded, they snap back neatly when not buckled up, making them much less likely to be bent and broken during handling, as has happened to the clasps on other cases I've had. The handle on this case is solid and seriously heavy-duty. This case even comes with a velvet case for storing the straps when not in use. The Crossrock company states that real musicians contributed to designing this case, and I believe it because it shows. This is a very nice case and it seems as flight-worthy as cases costing much more. Will definitely consider Crossrock products when shopping for music accessories in the future. Very pleased.

Easy marked
Nice quality case over all and very nice interior but the exterior may be durable to protect the instrument but unfortunately is very easy marked and scratched and hasn’t been out of the house!
