After 3 decades this stopped my propane for heating!
The media could not be loaded. No assembly required btwThis is a A+++ ccu unit I call it . Climate control unit. Because In a few minutes you can easily go from heating to air conditioning back to heating in moments again . Isn’t new technology as a kid I lived with a heat pump but that was thousands included in house payments . So this absolutely makes a home of recommendation 350 sq feet totally comfortable in moments. I’ve been looking for anything but propane to heat and going back to the grid isn’t in my plans ever so this fit the situation. Only using 1280 watts of continuous usage is outstanding! Not running heat side from Solar today and don’t foresee it but works fantastically with my 1600 watt generator. Saved propane most likely will cover extra fuel used for generation but no electric bills is my main goal . Not going un noticed btwLast visit from them three days ago rechecked the line They don’t understand the outstanding efficiency of this new found treasure , I dreamed about turning this sorta air conditioner around as a kid so seeing it happen I had to save the under 500$ and buy it and so glad I did wow . I have a situation going on here whereas my neighbors have been really polluting my air so with propane had to have ventilation and loss efficiency and never was a fan of the gas fumes . Again with this new ccu I don’t have to do it’s recycling air saved us from the ongoing air assault's. So win win winAnother good discovery this air conditioning side uses 575 watts same as the unit I replaced but this is 50% higher cooling capacity yet uses same wattage so was delighted it runs off my Solar in perfect conditions while suns out between 11/4 most of the year in Florida off the grid btw! Why they are not happy lolBut nothing but good things so far One noteworthy issue I learned with using a parallel system with Solar was that the wires must be a sizable distance between power sources because just the magnetic sine waves can Interrupt the generator and cause a glitch which a kilowatt meter picked up with flashing screen indicating a issue with power source so keep in mind to use conduit and properly space opposing power supplies . So to review ac side uses 575 wattsEasy to run off the sun in perfect conditions1280 heat pump side that I don’t see Solar powering overnight unless you’ve built a massive battery bank see a electrician or get a backup generator as I wrote about in my book Solar Independent Utility Systems Manual So conclusion far better than burning anything for heat only thing that would beat this is a properly sized radiant heating system that uses the suns heat alongside its photovoltaic advantages. My next goal with geothermal alongside to replace this but until that dream happensThis is my answer for the foreseeable future Can’t say enough about this outstanding ccu No more propane tanks running outNo more feeding wood firesNow just time the generator usually five to eight hours depending on your temp setting. Set it to max 86Max cool 61 makes working much harder far saferThank you LGYou hit this one out of the parkPure awesomenessQuietness a BONUS !!!!

PERFECT
I was wanting to rate the seller but Amazon has apparently lost their minds.Seller shipped FAST. Thank you!I bought this prior to foot surgery because I have only had wood heat exclusively, and needed a good heat source in order to stay off my feet (not need to tend the wood stove) so wounds would heal. I live in an old farm house that has ZERO insulation. This unit was easy to install and has worked beautifully for the 2 months I've been running it. It has a smooth start/end cycle and keeps the temperature STEADY (no big temp swings like cheap units) and is actually pretty efficient considering this old house. I LOVE this unit! Highly recommend! If you can afford the more expensive, larger model and have the window size for it, that model might be a little quieter. But this unit really blows the heat out and heats well. I'll assume the cooling (which I tested) will be as good at least. If this particular unit isn't so quiet (it's not bad, don't get me wrong), it's because it's a large unit that works!

Defective and broken
It took two of us to even remove it from the shipping carton, as it was very heavy. It had obviously been handled quite roughly, probably during shipping. The fins/ condenser blades on the front were badly damaged, but the most surprising thing is the big fan blades were broken into about 4 or 5 pieces, and they were made of a very cheap plastic....I couldn't believe this was an LG product. Shoddy ,cheap manufacturing that they obviously hoped no one would see ,being on the inside of the large metal casing. Since the casing came out separately though, fortunately the damage was the first thing we saw.We learned a lesson to not get anything of this size through Amazon. We were told there were no replacements available. And we'd have to take a refund. After seeing that the large fan blades were made out of plastic, we had no problem to choose this option.. Those blades would not have lasted but maybe 2 or 3 summers in Texas heat, and would have become as brittle as glass.I'd advise you to stay away from this model.

Ok, but not amazing
I installed this in a small uninsulated workshop 10’ x 15’ in Phoenix. It works great in the morning but can not keep the shop cool when temps go above 100 degrees.

Great product
Received the air condition heater two days before they said it would be delivered. Very easy install. The control panel is easy to see. I love the fact that it has an oscillating vent. I would definitely recommend this to everyone. Definitely a good price. I checked our local places for the same brand less BTU was a little bit more money. When I came here and found the 18,000 BTU for this dollar amount I jumped on it.
