totally ineffective and a waste of money
I did not find this product effective. Set up is simple but failed to attract or catch any fruit flies despite being set up in an active fruit fly area. I will not purchase again and do not recommend this product for getting rid of fruit flies. It is a waste of money.

Did zero for my flies
My epic three-week battle of the fruit flies had me with a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol every time I entered the kitchen or bathroom. It works great and is satisfying as heck! Twice a day I’d pour boiling water down each drain to kill eggs that might be there. Leave zero produce out. Take trash and recycling out at least every two days no matter what, and keep that catbox C L E A N.Yellow sticky things you spike into plant soil and these “GREENSTRIKE premium fruit fly traps for indoors” options did zero for me. Fruit flies everywhere for days, with no takers.Terro Apples work OK.Home-made apple cider vinegar with a few drops of dish soap did second best only to Aunt Fannies FlyPunch. For the cider vinegar, I put in a glass with plastic wrap over top and poke a pencil hole through it and stretch it a little.A plastic bottle with cut-off inverted top and a piece of fruit in it did work, but barely. My experience; Do the DIY method, get some Fannies, and a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol.

They work!
Bought these because I have gnats everywhere. I put one by the garbage can and one by my plants. The one by the garbage can was full of gnats the next morning and there were only a few in it by the plants. They definitely work and I would recommend them to you if you have a gnat problem. I did try home made traps but they didn’t work half as good as these. I would buy these again.

Poor design - too small
We used this tiny fruit-fly trap as instructed. It is necessary to push a hole through the top with a pencil or pen. Because the trap is so small (about 1.5 inches across), and the hole area is even smaller - the hole can't be very big - the trap caught a total of 3 flies in about a week. The flaw is that the flies don't much of the smell of the bait and the single hole is too small. I should have made a slightly bigger hole, but instead, I just bought a bigger trap, shaped like an apple, with numerous holes in the top. It caught 15 flies on the first day, positioned right next to the ineffective Greenstrike trap.

Product does work!
The product I received did not look the same and one was leaking. It was smaller than I expected, but that was fine. Overall the product did work and fruit flies are gone.

doesnt work; not worth my money.
I had an outbreak of fruit flies. I was using the apple cider vinegar and dish soap trap(but had used up all the ACV I had at home), was working pretty well but decided to upgrade to a commercially made trap see if it worked better; and not only did it not work any better it was worse. In the 13 days I had them there wasn't a single fruit fly in either trap, one was in the kitchen where most of the fruit flies weres and one in my bedroom as some seemed to live in there. I put the ACV and dish soap trap back in the kitchen yesterday, and in the day(not even a full 24 hours) it had collected more flies then the 2 commercial ones put together.
