I have my SoundDock back!
The Layen BS-1 works very well, and I even have one of the 5307 Serial numbers. I did have to reach out to the company though as the instructions that arrived with the receiver aren't clear. They say to press the Play/Pause button while you are pairing. I tried this...on my Mac. What they meant is, there is a small button on the side of the receiver that is only marked with a Bluetooth symbol. Once I tried this it paired immediately and it sounds great! As for the reviewer who complained about having to remove the receiver from dock, this Bluetooth button serves as an on/off switch. Luckily I do not have static from my speaker when the Bluetooth is turned off.

Plug and Play
I already have one of these little devices on my old Bose Sound Dock, and it works perfectly. I have the radio on pretty much all day but sometimes I'm not enamoured of the output, so I thought of installing one of these on the radio I use most of all, which has an iPod dock on top (Ruark R4i). I took the Layen out of its box, put it in the dock, paired it with my iPhone, and off it went - less than a minute from start to finish! Superb sound quality too. Well done Layen!
