A bit spendy and smaller roll. But printed great. No issues.

Just arrived. I honestly didn't mean to buy just the spool. And then all the bad reviews I was seeing had me nervous. But it arrived today. The chip worked just fine. Currently printing a fidget spinner. So far better deal than the whole cartridge. I have to many spent cartridges laying around. This way i can just recycle those old cartridges.

I bought this replacement cartridge that comes with a chip. The chip identifies the type of plastic correctly as PLA, but when I go to print I get an error that the cartridge is unidentified. I created a ticket with xyz printing. After over a week of going back and forth doing stupid things for them. I sent them a copy of the invoice and they asked me to send the spool and chip back to them and then they will look at it and send me a replacement. They expect me to pay for the shipping for their faulty product and it will most likely be a couple of more weeks I am waiting for that by the time they receive mine. I am also having trouble printing any parts that require scaffolding. That option just makes everything print in an unusable quality. I have not even got that far to address with them. They make little effort to keep the customer satisfied.

This will work with my DaVinci Pro Jr. While it doesn’t have the right chip, meaning it won’t read what filament is loaded, it worked perfectly fine when I set it up as a non XYZ filament. Turns out nature wasn’t my favorite color for printing, but the black one was just fine.

I bought this as a replacement for my OEM roll of blue PLA that came with my XYZWare printer because I couldn't be bothered figuring out how to mount other types of filament. I thought buying this spool would save me work but its chip is only compatable with certain XYZWare printers and mine didn't fit it right. It's basically just DRM that you should bypass ASAP. I will give a big up to XYZWare for using OpenFilament standards so it's actually easy to use other filaments if you have properly updated your firmware and gotten XYZSuite.It's a good thing because this particular filament was giving me mad issues. It would break at the feed point so I'd have to unload, extract the .5m of now wasted filament from the feed tube and re-insert. I had to do that dozens of times and it was more likely than not for me to get ready to build with the printer only to find the filament self-severed for some reason. It also would detach and curl up at the corners on any prints bigger than a few inches whereas my newer filament has basically never had that problem.One thing did make it worth it to purchase this filament, though, and that's that it's dayglow green color makes it shime under UV light, which is pretty great for rave kandi making. That's about all I'm going back to the last scraps of the filament for, though.If you're buying this because of the filament chips in the roll just do yourself a favor and print an extenral spool holder, and spend the same money you'd spend here (maybe even $5 less) for a 1kg spool of 3rd party filament.
