I use mine for straightening and slso curling my hair. It heats up fast and smooths my hair so nicely!

Because there were no clear instructions on how to power the flat iron on and off, it took me a while to find the gray flat button on the inside gray section above the inside pink section (see photo). A button on the outside would make more sense. Also, the heat is listed as degrees rather than low, medium and high, so that took getting used to. Those are my only complaints. It is a good price.

This straightener worked just fine to straighten my thick wavy hair but a couple of small issues. First the good, the straightener worked, it heated up quickly and the temp was easy to change, my hair glided through the plates with no snagging or pulling and the end result was great. As for the two issues I had, first is that I like to never found the power button. It's inside the iron and has to be held to turn the straightener on. The second and more concerning issue was that the outside of the straightener gets very hot and am a bit worried about burning myself. I definitely wouldn't recommend this for kids or if you're a bit on the clumsy side sometimes like I am but it will straighten your hair at a good price so you decide.

This is a great straightener. I grew up only using salon tools because my mom was a beautician. This one is just as good for a reasonable price

I love the velvety feel of the straightener in my hand. It's very soft and comfortable to hold. I also really like the gray color. The outside cover is a cool feature to have, it will come in handy for traveling and I know it's not going to pop open in my cabinet.As others have mentioned, the power button is on the inside of the straightener. It believe this is a purposeful design, as you're not going to accidentally shut it off while using it. I actually prefer this feature.The straightener heated up quickly and I straightened my hair in about 10 minutes. My hair never snagged, and it has a very smooth look to it. I have some natural wave, but I tend to dry it straight. I used this after drying my hair, and it looks super smooth.The outside of the straightener does get hot, so you may want to use a glove if you need to touch the barrel while styling. Since I was just straightening, It didn't really affect me. A younger user could easily burn themselves, so make sure they pay attention to hand placement. The exterior heat is my only reason for the 4 star review. Other than that, it's a really good product!

Overall it's a nice flat iron.It heats up quick, it has an auto shutoff and it heats up to 420 degrees Fahrenheit.I don't know if anyone else had this problem but I had press and hold the power button for a few seconds to power it on then click the "+" sign to start heating it up.

The flat iron is smooth and easy to grip. It heats up in a reasonable time and straighten hair but I kind of wish it pressed more together I suppose it’s good because it protects your hair from so much heat damage. Overall a good product.
