I've been doing plumbing work for over 40 years. I'm not a licensed professional but I've worked with more than a few that were, and I have held my own when I have. Most of my plumbing over the years involved sweating copper joints. Some years back (about 15) I had the opportunity to work with Pex and the ease and speed that it was installed just amazed me. Call it an epiphany but it opened my mind to using other methods of joining pipes other than with a torch and solder. A few years back I worked on a project using Propress fittings and again I was taken with the ease of installation and bought a manual crimper. If you've ever soldered joints there are a few critical things that need to be done to insure a leak proof joint. The fittings must be cleaned, fluxed and there can't be water in the lines. There are ways to address water issues if all of it can't be removed but it's critical that to block it as even steam can cause issues with a solder joint. The benefit of these crimp fittings is that having water in the line will not affect them and you don't have to worry about starting a fire with a torch in cramped areas. These Efield fittings worked well with my crimper and although I only had about 5 joints to install, they all sealed well without any leaks. Based on the price and operation of these fittings I would be happy to use them again and would recommend them to anyone that wants to use them.

I asked my friend to help me make some changes to the water pipes. He is a professional plumber. He was very happy with the quality of these fittings. Easy to install and no leak.

These are press-fit copper fittings. Not to be confused with "push-to-connect" or Sharkbite fittings. These require a tool to properly crimp and install onto copper pipe. I was expecting thinner copper. These are seriously solid and heavy. The pricing of the coupling is similar to a 10 pack at the big box.Of course none of this matters if they don't crimp or seal properly. In my testing, they performed very well, crimping onto the copper stub evenly and securely with zero leakage. Of course the tool you use will have a significant impact on how well your fitting attaches and endures.Bottom line: I will absolutely use this product again.

Every last fitting in the bag has some degree of burr or flaking either on or embedded into the ring seal. If it were not for that, these seem like they would be pretty decent fittings. As it is though, I don't feel like I can trust them (did I get all of the burrs and debris?).

I’m just now starting to get into the press style fittings as I’m used to the old school soldier type fittings. These are so much faster and less messy. I used these to connect a piece of 3/4 copper piper together and they sealed down nicely. They have a fresh clean copper look and they also have a pipe stop in the middle of the fitting. This is an excellent price for the amount you receive and these seem like very well made fittings. No complaints from me.
