Great Journal for Domestic Infant Adoption
There's a lot I like about the journal. The cover is pretty, it seems to be of a good quality, the pages have fairly generic writing prompts, it covers 18 years, it includes a lot of places to insert photos, and it looks like a journal inside and out. I didn't want something with images or artwork inside. I've struggled to find something that works for our international adoption; this is pretty good although it seems specific to domestic infant adoption. For example, it has 2 pages for "Info About Birth Family," and an entire section about the Birth - about 5 pages. There are also sections of a few pages each for every month in the first year. Our baby will be 12 months when we adopt her and we'll never know about the birth family, so I'm not sure what to do with those pages. Overall I'm pleased. It's a great journal for a domestic adoption and I can't fault it for not fitting our specific situation, except that I wish they would specify the content a bit better so people can decide if it works for their adoption. Here's a list of the sections:•Family Tree•Footprints and Handprints•Process -Adoption Process -The day we met•Infant -Birth -Firsts (first tooth, first haircut, etc) -Firsts Weeks -1 Month Old -2 Months Old -3 Months Old ... Etc to 12 months•Toddler -1 Year Old -2 Years Old -3 Years Old•Childhood -has a section for each year 4-12•Teenage -covers years 13-18Each subsection is a few pages.I've included pictures to show some examples of the writing prompts on each page.

I love this journal
I love this journal. It is so hard to find one that works for adoption and foster care. I like that it asks general stuff like “things about the birth family” and not specific questions that one might not have the answers too. I bought two of these and they are worth it.
