It was a gift for friends & they loved it. It has the mid-century modern aesthetic without the unnecessary colors.

This was so worth the cost. Well constructed and reminds me of my childhood when we had a simular one.

I very much love the look of this clock. Stylewise, spot on dupe for the MCM original. Materials could be significantly better but I bought this for looks and on that... 10/10.

Needed something light and open to dress up but not weigh down a boring corner that the freezer is stored in and this makes a great impact. Everyone notices it, not so much the freezer now, lol. (And the price was really great for this one!) As one reviewer commented, it is plastic, which I expected for a clock anywhere under 150.00, Another reviewer commented on the sharp edges, but I expected that after inspecting the images for the item and seeing tabs holding pieces in, and took care. Hanging on the wall it is not an issue, and when I do have to reset for daylight savings, I will use same care. All in all I am very happy with the purchase, the price, and the finished result! (used on a transition wall from kitchen to dining room with a vintage chromcraft dining set. This is a great fit without going overboard on the MCM train)

The ticking bothered me so much in the mornings, especially cold and quiet ones, that I removed it. I eventually replaced the clock mechanism with another, after much researching because one needs to match the dimensions of the part that the hands are attached (which isn't easy unless you can do imperial to metric conversions easily). Also, most of the mechanisms that come up on Amazon searches are the same type that this clock already has. But eventually I found one for about $10, swapped it in, and now it's quiet.

I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews about it being flimsy but I was nicely surprised when it arrived. The clock body itself is sturdy and I appreciate the clear cover over the clock which makes dusting easy. The sunburst decoration around the perimeter is lightweight, but I wouldn't call it flimsy and if it was sturdier it would make the clock too heavy for hanging anyway. So just be careful handling it and you will enjoy this as much as I do!
