I have a big head (7 5/8) and have problems with these type hats fitting. XXL was an option, and it fits good with flaps down and nice and warm with flaps down. Soft, sleek, and good looking. Should last a long time.

The hat is not real leather, far as I can tell. I know leather when I see it and this is "plastic." However, not all is lost, the hat is mostly waterproof due to the imitation soft vinyl leather material bonded with foam and then soft cloth. Its obviously a fabric already triple-layered by design from the factory.The end result is that you get a very well insulated, water resistant, and very warm, faux leather hat. This is the hat to wear to pick up your mail from the mailbox on a cold winter day. lol. It is oversized which is great because you can layer on a thinner beanie underneath if your head is on the smaller side. The cap/ visor part can be carefully un-stitched for a different look "captain's hat" to thereby uncover a very narrow black satin visor underneath. It also comes with a wool like fabric flap in the back to fold down towards your neck for added warmth. Overall, great buy under 10 bucks. Its definitely a good winter hat and I liked it so much, that I would definitely buy it again!

On receipt the hat was well packaged in a zip lock bag to protect it, and first examination showed quality stitching, good matching of color, and detailed execution. The concern initially was, is this really lambskin, it felt like PU being so new. Examination of the sew edges where you could see the backside of the material, along with rubbing moisture into it, showed it had grain, was porous, was at least dyed lambskin not coated or painted, and had the appropriate consistency of matching thickness of hide throughout.Popped it on my head and went out for some yard chores in 50 degree weather - this cap had ear flaps which is why I chose it, and they stayed down, didn't expose the front of my ears. Good fit. With the flaps up it's sized appropriately with no tightness, regardless if it was I'd keep it as leather stretches. Just place over your need and tug firmly enough to feel it spring, it will expand slowly and over time become exactly as you want it. No issues tho up front. I wear a 7 1/8 normally but bought a Large as ear flaps can be an distortion in size. Nonetheless I wasn't worried over it.It's six panel newsboy style, keep that in mind as this genre of caps has three or four methods of construction all of which have distinctly different numbers of panels. I prefer "flat cap" ie on continuous piece on top, but those are hard to find currently in winter grade. it will certainly do. It does match the leather on a lambskin jacket I have, so closely it's almost uncanny, which shows that the color is much more appropriate in universal tone than I was expecting.As new it's somewhat puffy, that will go away with weather and wear as the leather conforms to gravity and handling when on the head. Like a new pair of leather boots, the more you wear them the better they break in. By the end of winter I expect it will have developed a comfortable patina of use.Good value for the money, this one will be around for a long time.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!! -- The worst part is the item is advertised as Sheepskin Leather in the Header of the listing and is NOT LEATHER but instead a thin plastic / synthetic material fused onto a thin layer of Foam and backed with a cheap short pile synthetic fur!! I never complain about paying for a seller's / merchants product when given truthful information on the product. However this item was misrepresented as something it is not. Further the cap is not shaped like a typical classic paperboy cap but instead an awkward roundish shape that looks like an item intended for short term use ... such as a Halloween costume or some other party costume almost to the point of being cartoonish! Do NOT purchase if you intend to wear it with a genuine leather jacket or other leather outerwear as it will be obvious the cap is a cheap plastic product. -- Further there are NO LABELS in the cap to be found so no branding except a tag that is attached with the printings shown in the pictures. Would NOT RECCOMEND! Seller should be ashamed of the poor ethics of their sales tactics.

Amazing how this cap smells like leather, but then again IT IS LEATHER ! What’s not to like about this hat? Great value, good looking, and a very well done group of stitching. I ordered large which is not a loose fit because my hat size is 7 3/8. You can try an xlarge if you are looking for barely touching . I didn’t want to exchange because of getting too sloppy. I have 3 leather jackets including one that is an exact dk brn color match to hat ( Excellent ).

The product was warm and thick, a little too thick. It was too bulky. The hat is overpriced. It's comfortable but it looks funny on. I would send a picture but my husband won't let me take it.

Love the soft leather, looks great, adjustable, great price and arrived 7 days earlier than listed delivery date. Highly recommend this hat… every bit as nice as my Stetson flat cap and cost a lot, lot less.

Nice plush and soft material. Fits as expected. It is a bit snug with the ear flaps up but will stretch to fit perfectly. It is definitely a winter cap and is nice and toasty.
