They work perfect for single use and linking together the ad shows linking to together but you could actually make a chain of them if you needed to these are really a cool little thing. I got so many in the order that I've shared them with family members who garden.

What a waste
Luckily they were not expensive but they would not lock in you’d get one side and try to ad another locker and they would come in done got so frustrated I threw them away zip tight were the answer
