First of all I have been hunting my whole life and have had more knives than I can remember or count. This is by far the best knife I have ever owned. If it was possible to give it a 10 star rating I would have. I have been using it now for 2 full seasons of mule deer and elk hunting. Over the course of 2 years I have been able to give this knife a good workout. It has been used to field dress and cape out 3 mule deer and 4 elk for our whole hunting party. This thing holds an edge like no knife I have ever owned. The gut hook end opens animals with so much ease it is amazing. It is an essential tool for any hunter, and this one is the best. If you are considering it, buy it. You will LOVE it.

I’m very impressed with the quality of this knife! It’s comfortable, everything is tight, and even the case is quality. It’s a bit odd to switch but I’ll get used to that in time. It’s great for cleaning rabbits and chickens both. Just buy it if your on the fence!

This is the second one of these I have purchased. They are really sharp and make skinning a lot easier. I love this knife and can’t say enough good stuff about it.

I ordered this knife as a present for my father after owning one for 4 hunting seasons. It's great, the primary blade holds a good edge, and the gutting blade is top notch. I've never needed to sharpen that blade, even after many uses. It's a good knife that I've used for both skinning and some boning work as needed. Just make sure you keep it clean!

When I saw this knife, slobber started building up in my mouth and I began to drool which is not an attractive characteristic in a man of my caliber so I had to remedy the situation. Well, I tried all sorts of things from a handkerchief to cotton balls which resulted in my not being able to talk clearly which effected other relationships within my circle of influence so I began to ponder outside of the box solutions. I began to try things like chewing loose leaf tobacco so I could spit my slobber on the ground but then my teeth turned brown and my teeth started to rot out of my head until I was bumping my gums which caused the slobber build up to splash in people's faces which caused me to be ostracized by my loved ones. I eventually lost my job and had a divorce and moved into a hut I had built out of old pallets and zip ties out under the river bridge. I liked the solitude but woke suddenly one night with a raccoon licking the drool from my face as I slept and when I jumped back it startled the little feller and he ran up the bridge support up onto the highway and was killed by a propane truck. After this incident, I knew something had to be done so I pulled up Amazon and ordered the Swingblade knife which took about 6 days to arrive. Almost immediately, my slobber symptoms begin to subside and slowly the things awry in my life began to reset and today life has almost returned to normal. As far as the knife goes, it works great and I keep it close by at all times, even when I sleep. I guess I should have just bought it way back when and maybe I could have avoided many of the tripfalls I experienced. If you are looking for a good skinning knife, there are many out there to choose from but this one is my favorite and if you buy it you will agree with me, I promise you. Get it now and don't waste your life.

I purchased a Swingblade knife based on the recommendation of a friend. I couldn't be more impressed with how easy it made the field dressing and skining of my last deer. I let 2 friends use it. They both have more than 30 years experience as hunters. After they used the swingblade, they couldn't wait to purchase their own. Both claimed they have never used a knife that was so well designed and that held an edge for so long. Amoung our hunting circle, this knife has been a big hit. Buy one, you will not regret it.

Have not used it on a deer yet, But you can tell very nice quality, and was recommended by a police officer. Very nice, and I think the cop was right on this one. He was a white cop.

Best hunting knife I've ever owned. Should have bought one long before I did. Very sturdy and very sharp. Does everything a knife is supposed to do and better than any hunting knife I've had before. With a Lansky sharpening kit it can be re- sharpen easily to better than surgical standards. BE CAREFUL. IT COMES WICKEDLY SHARP RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX.
