Glad I bought the Large and not the medium.....
I was torn between the Medium & the Large, and settled on this to be safe. GLAD I DID! This holds my Shinken live blade, two bokken, one Jo staff, and tantos in the middle, and is still fairly compact on the outside. Ruggedly built, quality zippers and material, stout shoulder strap and hand handle. Soooooooomuch better than all the cheap chinese made wanna-be bags out there. Feel confident that my tools are well padded and carry well outside of training. Purchase with confidence-----I'd call this the best one out there!!

Well Designed, Quality Bag with Room to Expand...
This case is made with ballistic quality nylon material, the zippers are thick and sturdy, the bottom is reinforced with some suede (leather) material making for a very durable bag. The large case lengthwise can basically accommodate every sword, bokuto, or shinai I have. The width should be able to fit up to 5 swords. It is notably long in terms of length which I like since I may eventually get a longer sword for my height (I'm 6'2") and if you're not using the full length of the bag, you can fold down the top where you aren't using and there's a strap to hold it in place.

Functionally the bag is near perfect if the zippers were better
Unfortunately the zippers are not nearly the quality I expected for the price. Functionally the bag is near perfect if the zippers were better.

Very high quality case! (Also, here are the large and medium case dimensions)
This is a very high quality case that looks like it will last a long time. I hope they keep making them. One of my swords is 45" long, and easily fits in the medium or large case. I've never seen the small one.Because the specifications on Amazon may be unclear or confused, here are my measurements of the large and medium cases we bought:* Large case: exterior 51.5" x 10", interior sword pockets 50" x 9" each, exterior pocket 9.5" x 6".* Medium case: exterior 51" x 8.5", interior sword pockets 49" x 7" each, exterior pocket 9.5" x 6".The exterior dimensions are important, as those will determine how many additional items you can put in the middle between the two pockets. I find the medium case perfect for two relatively flat taiji swords (a 45" taiji dao and a 42" taiji jian), but it would be hard to squeeze a third sword between them, and I'd definitely need the large case to add a Shaolin dao because that type has a wide oval guard. Having said that, I should also mention that with just two swords the medium case is easier to maneuver than the large, because then the medium is a bit firmer and less bulky.

Broken zippers
Interior zippers are very low quality. They broke after second use. Bag is not worth the purchase price. Overall low quality product at premium price.

nice sword bag
this sword bag is well made and big enough for several bokken, tanto, or most other medium-small weapons...bag is about 52 inches long(estimate) i keep my 60inche jo staff in it so it sticks out a few inches but is still comfortable to carry and travel with. it was a lil pricey but it seems to be made of a good quality material and the zippers and straps are solid.

Roomy and super durable.
We bought a couple of these bags years ago and they still are going strong. Our weapons classes cover a variety of edged weapons, and this handles almost all of them. I regularly haul:2 wooden knives2 mid-length wooden swords (under 36")1 boken1 shi-nai1 Jian sword1 Katana1 Chinese longsword (this does stick out the top)The pocket on the side holds a small kit for sharpening/cleaning the blades. The bottom is reinforced so nothing has torn or fallen out. And the zipper! Bad zippers ruin otherwise great bags, and this one has stood the test of time.

CAS Hanwei Large Sword Case (Nylon, Leather)
My Bag's Pro's: is well constructed, No tears or defect's I think it will last a good while. Fits a cleaning kit plus other various small items inside of the side pocket with a double zipper. Inside the main compartment I can fit a couple of Jo's, Bokken's, and my Iaito, plus there is a little bit of room left over for another couple of weapons. The inside is a bit padded and there is an extra zippered section. I will be letting a few people know at class. My Bag's Cons: The strap's are thin, seem to be stitched pretty strongly. I had to sew a strap with a plastic connection on it because the connection would just slide off from the strap.
