Fenix E21 LED 2 Stage 170 Lumen Flashlight

I loved this, until it died. Now it won't turn on. I've replaced the batteries, verified they're in correctly, and it does light dimly for a second and then fades out and won't turn on anymore. I suspect something failed in the dimming circuit. It's apparently under the lifetime warranty, but I'd rather that it just work -- it's just a flashlight, and it's reasonable to expect that it turns on.Other than the failure, I greatly preferred this to a mini-Maglite. Because I liked the E21 so much, I bought a Fenix LD01 which has become my EDC torch -- an incredible, awesome tool.

I love these little flashlights. They are bright and not expensive. I recommend to any law enforcement officer. The problem is that I can't find any pouch to carry it in. Otherwise I think they are more reliable than any surefire or streamlight, and less expensive, that I have carried of equal size and the batteries last so much longer. And the AA batteries are so much cheaper ad easier to find than the 123 batteries.

These are great flashlights!! They are super bright and yet small and relatively cheap (good flashlights can be very expensive). Some reviewers complain about the on/off switch. When that happens, your flashlight is not broken! You simply need to tighten the thin metal ring that is inside the flashlight end cap.

Keep switching from bright to low by itself. Have no control over it. Supplier is in Japan. Took a very long time to arrive. Now not working properly. Don't buy! Very disappointing!

I literally could not do my job without this light, it has seen it all and survived. it is well built and very sturdy, I think the battery life does better than what is advertised at least in my experience.

Bought this one for my mother in law, who lives in the country. She loves it. I own three other Fenix flashlights (two of which are the E21) and find them bright, solid, and dependable. The batteries last forever.

I would stay clear of this particular flashlight if one has plans on using it in critical situations. It blacks out randomly, sometimes leaving the user in total darkness. Needless to say this could be dangerous! Usually it will come back on when tapped. I bought two of this model and both exibit this same peculiar behavior. Design flaw? Poor quality control? Who knows. This is unacceptical and I would advise one to look to elsewhere for a dependable flashlight.

Best, light weight, very very long range. We could not believe it. We need onein each car and house also.

Good product if you can still find it.Easy to use, runs of 2 easily obtainable AA batteries and should last a lifetime of use.

The product was a gift and the person receiving it was extremely pleased with it.It is light and also powerful.

Very nice torch, one of two we keep near during the winter months. One has suffered from a leaking battery (Duracell) and heaven knows how we are going to clean this up. Any ideas, anyone?

My number one torch. I keep it in the car. The batteries never seem to run down.

Als Besitzer zahlreicher Taschenlampen diverser Hersteller, kann ich die Fenix E21 all denen weiterempfehlen, die nach einer einfach zu bedienenden Taschenlampe suchen. Keine Blinkmodi, keine Menüs durch die man sich erst durchklicken muss, nichts davon findet man bei dieser Fenix. Einfach ein- und ausschalten bzw. den Lampenkopf auf- oder zudrehen.Es ist genau die Lampe, die einen wahrscheinlich das ganze Leben lang begleiten wird. Egal ob im Keller oder in der Garage beim Reifenwechsel oder in dunklen Winternächten beim Spaziergang. Die Leuchtleistung ist mehr als ausreichend. Viel besser als all die alten Lampen die man noch aus den vergangen Jahrzehnten daheim herumliegen hat.Die Qualität und Verarbeitung sind typisch für Fenix sehr hoch. An eine Surefire reicht es nicht gerade heran, aber dennoch für den normalen Hausgebrauch reicht es voll und ganz.Die Lampe besteht aus 3 Teilen: dem Lampenkopf (Reflektor mit LED,...) dem Lampenkörper (Batteriefach) und dem Endkappenschalter. Das Aluminium ist relativ dickwandig, was die Lampe insgesamt etwas schwerer aber dafür stabiler macht.Laut Werksangabe leistet die Lampe auf High 170 Lumen für 2 Stunden bzw. auf Low 54 Lumen für 11 Std., diese Angaben decken sich ungefähr mit der Realität. Bei niedrigen Temperaturen werden diese Werte natürlich weniger.Alles in Allem ist Fenix mit der E21 eine sehr gute Gebrauchslampe gelungen. Mir gefällt sie.
