The best thing about this is that it allows you to place a DVD/BluRay player somewhere other than directly next to the TV without having to run a super long cable. The player can be placed next to the chair so that discs can be changed without having to walk across the room. Some older computers can't cast to the TV, and some older TVs aren't smart TVs. In either case this will allow you to cast to your HDMI capable TV.The transmitter and receiver both have to be plugged in. The cords are provided, but if you have to plug into a wall outlet or power strip you will need to either get a plug or an extension cord with USB power ports built in. Even though you have to plug them both in, it is still better than having to run an HDMI cable such a long way which degrades the signal. This is a good working alternative.

This was so easy to use. 1- comes with all the cables you need. 2- Receiver and transmitter come already paired. 3- Just plug 'em in and enjoy. Wires? Where we're going, we don't need wires!

This thing is pretty slick. I help run a student tech crew at school. During assemblies we have to run a temporary projector in a gym and normally would run a giant 50' HDMI cable to our "tech booth" to be able to run video. This would involve winding and unwinding cables every time we have a video shown. This will help me limit that to just power, making it much more managable and also means I don't have to worry about using an HDMI cable that can easily break.My unit was basicly plug and play. I was up and running with a mirrored screen in a matter of minutes from my laptop to my living room TV. I had to make sure my volume on my laptop was maxed out, but it came through as well with no issues. I walked around my house to various locations and was able to stream video from pretty much every place in my house to my main TV. It had the occasional blip on the screen at the longer distances and through multiple walls/floors, but nothing too bad. I did notice the transmitter was quite hot when I unplugged it from my laptop. I would suggest maybe using a small HDMI extender cable (like a 6" or 1' HDMI extender) just to keep that heat out of your HDMI port on a computer. The other issue I had was there was a noticable lag. They say ultra-low latency, which I don't know if I would really claim that. I would say there is a good 200 ms delay from what I saw on my laptop vs what appeared on the screen. This is fine for streaming videos or basic web scrolling but if you wanted to try wirelessly connect some kind of "game console", like the PS3/PS4 shown in one of the images, this isn't going to work unless you only play things like puzzle games or turn based strategy games. Anything that requires twitch type movements will have a bad expirience with it.Otherwise, if you just want something to wirelessly connect a laptop or device for streaming some videos wirelessly, this works great! Just watch the heat on the transmitter!

Ce petit boîtier est très pratique car il permet de diffuser son ordinateur portable sur une télé sans avoir à brancher un câble entre les deux appareils. Cela me permet d'éviter d'avoir un câble qui traverse tout le salon.Le fonctionnement est très simple à comprendre et tout est bien expliqué. Une fois l'émetteur et le récepteur installés, tout est très fluide et la qualité d'image est excellente. Il n'y a que très peu de latence.Le prix est plutôt élevé mais la qualité le justifie selon moi.
