This salt plate press wraps around a plate of solid Himalayan salt (sold separately), giving you a firm hold as you use it to press proteins on the grill. Stainless steel construction & ribbed handle helps prevent slipping that could crack or chip your salt plate. Fits salt plates 12 in x 8 in.DIRECTIONS: To attach silicone band: the elastic band installs on the front of your salt palte press, below where the handle attaches to the frame of the press. The elastic band has a loop on each end & a pull tab in the middle. Orient the pull tab forward. Slid one end loop of the band onto one of the metal wire prongs of the press. Slide the band onto the wire, then up the side of the backet. Repeat on the other side.TO INSTALL PLATE: Slide your salt plate through the prongs of the press, making sure it is held securely by the metal arms & the silicone band. Using the handle to carry it but supporting it from the bottom with your other hand, transport to your grill. Preheat your salt plate with the press attached. Preheat your plate slowly & in stages (about 15 Min on low heat, 15 on medium, & 15 on high). prep your food, & when you are ready to use the salt plate as a press, use heat-safe gloves to grip it by the handle & put into position on top of your food. Cook your food according to your recipe.
