Disappointed
Very disappointing read having spent £3.99 on this book. Great premise, started promising, all likeable characters but it was just boring and dragged. 35 year old Emma has fertility issues and her biological clock is ticking, she makes an agreement with Dylan the farmer next door for his baby making skills, they fall for each other ......... que unnecessary drama....... HEA. Reading it was a chore and I was kept going by the obligation of having spent good money on it. I finally gave up and DNF with the out of character, downright silly 🙄 turn of events at 86%. Even if the story had progressed in the preceding manner the last 15% could not have salvaged it and my rating would never have been higher. Decent writing but story was just meh until 85%. I took a chance on this book having read a book I got for free this author wrote in collaboration with Lauren Blakely but this was just not up to the same standard and frankly in my opinion, well overpriced for the quality of the story. I did not enjoy this book but from the reviews obviously others did. I will not be buying further books by this author.

Brilliant start to the series
I am never disappointed when i open a book by this author. I am always getting what i want to read. A fun sexy book that keeps me captivated and hooked until i discover that the book has finished, upon where i weep that the book has already finished.Hunter begins as a grouchy farmer, but very quickly turns into a very sexy, heartwarming male specimen who you won't fail to want as your next book boyfriend. Emma is a strong woman who knows what she wants and sets out to get it, and what she wants is a baby. Hunter just happens to tick all her boxes. This book is so good that i only put it down once before i finished it. You get a little heartache, but it is generally a feel good book that you will want to put on your re-read shelf immediately. We get a snippet of an idea of who is going to star in the next book The Troublemaker. It will be Hunters brother Rafe and Emma's sister Carrie. I really hope that Tristan also gets a book and there are even more books in this series. I LOVE this author and her books.

An easy to read love story
A highly enjoyable romantic story about Dylan & Emma . Dylan is one of the Hunter boys who are also known for their skills in and out of the sheets ,the family own a farm which at one time had a vineyard but due to a disease the vines had to be removed and now they were growing hops . Dylan was the one who saved the farm as if he hadn’t done so the farm would have gone bankrupt , his father was not pleased about what his son had done and still had difficulty acknowledging the fact even though the farm was doing better cultivating hops .The male members of the family are also known for their baby making abilities and that goes for their father as well as each one of the sons had a different mother . Dylan’s life changed one day when a new neighbour called Emma crossed his path , she had moved to the area after a painful breakup with her fiancé who she’d been desperately trying to have a baby with. The ultimate betrayal came when she found that he was having an affair and had gotten his girlfriend pregnant , heartbroken she left Silicon Valley and moved to the area and did something she really wanted to do which was buy a vineyard . Being of a certain age she was very conscious that her biological clock was ticking fast so much so she even contemplated using a sperm bank . That was until she overheard two girls discuss the skills of the Hunter men ,as she was attracted to Dylan she decided that she would put a proposition to him and so it begins . There are no major disasters or twists just a little misunderstanding but it all works out in the end .

A fab read!!
I'm more than a little bit in love with Lili Valente and her books.... She's a definite 'go to' author for me and The Baby Maker just confirmed once again why this is the case.I loved Dylan and Emma's story, This pair had chemistry in spades, they had fun together (in and out of the sheets), they were sweet, loving and more than likable. For me their book was a fabulous read.Along with some interesting, funny and, in some cases, interfering supporting characters this book is the start of what I just know is gonna be a whole lot of Hunter brothers hotness!A solid 5* read.

Really enjoyed this
I adored this story! Emma is getting on in years and has been dealt a vicious blow by her ex-fiancé. She wants a baby but has struggled. Dylan, is from the Hunter family, with apparently super sperm capabilities. She propositions him and a really adorable love story follows.

We all need Dylan in our lives
I really enjoyed this book. Emma has left her high powered career to live in the country. Dylan wants to buy some land and she is in his way. They bicker but are clearly interested in each other. Emma takes a leap in asking him to father a child and he can't say no. But the temporary arrangement has them both wanting more. Love the way it was written. Dylan is a great character and really supports Emma.

I liked it!
I actually liked this book very much. There is something captivating about Dylan's changing attitude towards commitment and his almost instantaneous tumbling into love no matter what he says. Emma's attitude is a bit weirder. But there is immense chemistry between Dylan and Emma and at the end love conquers all.

The baby maker
This is one of those books you don't want to put down, a woman who is desperate to have a baby before it's too late, a farmer who takes care of everyone except himself, a love story waiting to happen, once more Lili Valentine delivers the goods

3 1/2 stars
Story - 3 1/2 starsNarration - 5 starsThe Baby Maker is the first standalone I've read/listened to by this author. I one-clicked when it was a freebie, but very quickly upgraded to the audiobook version after realising the narrators were Andi Arndt and Sebastian York - they are fantastic narrators and I love listening to them together. This was a very easy romance to listen to, fairly light hearted at times and very low on angst. It was predictable, but fun. Emma is desperate to be a Mum, and after overhearing someone else's conversation, decides that Dylan is just the guy to make that happen. Of course they had major chemistry, and it wasn't long before those boundaries they initially put in place with their agreement were being stomped all over. The story did wrap up pretty quickly at the end, but happy there was an epilogue with just that little bit more.

More please - addictive!
Dylan Hunter wants a piece of land Emma Haverford has set her eyes upon as well. Emma, wanting to be a mother, hears her biological clock ticking, and makes Dylan an offer: no-string sex so she gets pregnant, in exchange for the land he has set his heart on. However, what was the saying about best laid plans again? The story is told by the two main protagonists in this book, first person singular of course, something I usually do not like very much - in this case, I did not mind at all.An unusual plot, very well told, with a lot of humour and very likeable protagonists with some interesting characteristics make this a very enjoyable book to read, and I have a feeling, will get me addicted to this series, as I want to get #2 in my hands as quickly as possible.

An easy, light and quick read.
A fun escape with an unconventional relationship filled with lots chemistry.I loved that the characters were in their 30's, making it more relatable to the older reader. It was low on angst but did have a few moments that drew you in deeper, pulling on the heart strings and building a connection to both Dylan amd Emma. I found the characters endearing and romantic.I was able to read it quickly and enjoyed the few hours of light entertainment.

Knocked up
A fun and sexy read.Emma and Dylan have such amazing chemistry. These characters are just such lovely people, you want them to fall in love.Emma dreams of having a baby, but she isn't in a relationship and her biological clock is starting to tick out of time.Dylan has fantasized about Emma forever. To get the chance having a night with her would be a dream come true. When Emma tells Dylan what she wants, he decides to help her out and they make an agreement. Trouble is, hearts get in the way. This is the first of what promises to be a fabulous series.

Erotic, funny romance
This book captured my interest and heart right from the start. The stars align perfectly when Emma Haverford buys a vineyard and begins her new career in Mercyville, California. She wants not only a new successful winery, she wants a baby before her biological clock runs out. But she has no love in her life to make a family with and no time to wait so she comes up with a plan.Dylan Hunter is handsome, smart and caring. He takes care of his nephews, brothers and father while working at getting the family farm back into a profitable business. He dreams of brewing a winning beer and is blindsided by Emma's request.

Loved it
Can't lie, I'm in love with Dylan. This right here is why I love reading romance novels. He's just delicious - so swoon worthy, so male, and so soooo easy to fall for. And the fact that I loved Emma too is a testament to Lili's brilliance because even tho he's my perfect man, he's hers too. I practically inhaled this book and sighed in bliss all over the place. A must read.

Cougar bait ... book’s joke
I discovered Lili Valente work with Hot as Puck and The V Card, both books had me hooked. So I preordered without a second of reflexion this one, and much more after reading the blurb. It is very far different from the two previous ones, but there is a constancy in, her characters are just so real even in their flaws.Dylan and Emma began their relationship on a wrong foot but it does not prevent them to be open and have their opinion evolve the more they pass time together. What was just a deal, changes quickly for much more than they bargained at first. So how to face and accept that what was supposed a kind of contract with a short term end can become something inked in time. And how let it know to the other? But not Dylan nor Emma are teenagers or cowards, I liked they take matter in their hands, even if they make mistakes, they are grown up who doesn’t ran away.A very good story of two adults who are able to see what they very want for their life.
