A REPUTABLE MANUFACTURER (I THINK)
When I decided to buy a thermometer I went to the Boots site. They'e sold out of all of them, so I tried to track down the models that they supplied, thinking that this should get me a reliable gadget. They were all sold out too, so I ended up with this one - made by a manufacturer who supplies other models to Boots, so I hope it should work and last reasonably well. There are plenty of cheaper thermometers on amazon and ebay but I wonder how long they will last, and I want to be able to rely on it.The read-out is centigrade only - it may be possible to change it to farneheit but I don't see how.The instructions are in print so tiny that I had to use my smart-phone as a magnfying glass to read them, but unsurprisingly, you use it bya) sticking it under your toungeb) waiting for it to beep andc) looking at the number.I was relieved to learn that shoving it where the sun don't shine is not recommended.

Disappointing
Described as being measured in centigrade but was actually Fahrenheit. At least it worked.
