More room than you think
This was my first bivvy, albeit a hooped one, and have to say it's one of the best pieces of wild camping gear I've bought. I'm 6'2 and there's plenty of room. Personally, I didn't feel claustrophobic at all, which I was concerned about. Once you're in it, there's lots of space around your head...a lot more than you'd expect and the pictures show. Hopefully the quality stands up as this is my new go-to wild camp setup. The poles are a quite tight to get into the loop holes (maybe my particular product) but just a minor point. For those unsure about the space...trust me...you'll be very pleasantly surprised. A couple of pockets on the inside which are really handy too. The side opens up so super easy to get in and out and great to open the side and make a coffee in the morning whilst still inside. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a lightweight, but roomier than you think, low profile camp.

Good for dry weather. Great piece of kit
This is a very light bivi. It is quick and easy to assemble. Does not feel claustrophobic and plenty of head room and room to turn over.No room for a backpack so bring a tarp and attach to the rings.Condensation gets in, so best for dry nights only. The no-see-um mesh is great - I opened the cover up and just had the mesh cover so I could sleep under the stars.

Low profile & lightweight Bivvy.
Easy enough to erect, quite claustrophobic to start with but soon get used to it. Lightweight to carry, low profile, more room inside then you would think looking at it.

My perfect cycle camping bivy!
Superb bit of kit. This in combination with a tarp is my perfect set up for light weight cycle/wild campingPlenty space inside with great air circulation with the big head and tail vents. If you are claustrophobic having a tarp means you can open the outer fly a little and sleep with the just the bug mesh for added extra ventilation against condensation- and see the outdoors!Personally I would recommend using a foot print of some sort - not only to protect against possible punctures but the material when cold against the ground strangely feels damp even though it is completely waterproof. Just love this bivy

Condensation trap
Pitched perfectly, mild night, literal puddles of condenstion formed inside! it was so bad at first I was sure rain had leaked through over night, only to find it hadn't even rained!

A better design...........
...............than other hooped bivvies, giving a bit more room around the head, and the hoop at the foot end helps ventilation a lot, and stops water pooling or wet fabric lying on the occupant. The greater airspace around the occupant helps the ventilation as well as feeling lees claustraphobic. The side entrance is excellent, with the higher bathtub groundsheet, as well as the long mesh top which on dry summer nights is just great. Either the inner mesh or outer fly door can be zipped closed or separately tied back. All zips are 2 way and work well. This, the MK 2 version, I have found to be completely watertight. This is a bit nore budget oriented than some (think Snugpak Stratosphere, less than 1/2 the price), but the quality, stiching and seam sealing were all perfectly good. I don't like the colours on the green version paricularly, but don't like camo. either. The camo would be more "stealthy", though. Not the lightest nor the most compact to pack, but now, my "go to" hooped bivvi.

Easy set up
Great for an overnight, probably not multi day in Ireland in October because of condensation.

Almost Perfect With A Serious Flaw
I wanted to try a smaller tent for motorbike camping and this looked good. I set it up for a night on Ben Macdui in the Grampians and found it very easy to pitch. It seems more roomy inside than you would expect and I even managed to (carefully) cook in the head section. Then the wind picked up and I discovered this tent's major flaw.I had pitched with the foot pointing into the wind to minimise the profile. What happens in stronger wind is that it hits the flat bottom face of the tent, rises up to hit the little canopy then whistles in through the overly large mesh window. With another large window at the top the tent turns into a wind tunnel. I could see my sleeping bag blowing about round my feet. I eventually partially blocked the bottom window with my rucksack but that drastically reduced the space inside. When the wind shifted to hit the longer side of the tent the lack of side tensioning became apparent - I had to put in my bike ear plugs to sleep through the flapping. The sides also push inwards and can push against you or any stuff you've squeezed in with you so I would guess wind and rain combined would leave you a bit wet.All in all I spent a miserable night and will be going back to my old tent.Tip for Geertop: Make that bottom window much smaller and / or give it a velcro-down cover on the outside and maybe a guy line attachment point on the back long side. Otherwise it's just a play tent not a serious bit of equipment.
