Little details make a big difference.
Attention to detail a bit lacking. No instructions how to install. I had to refer to the photos here to try to figure it out. If it was nothing more than removing and replacing a couple of bolts and nothing else, fine. But there are several things you have to do to get it to fit. First, you'll lose the helmet lock. It has to be removed and you cannot reinstall it once the rack is in place. You use the middle bolt hole under the helmet lock. It is threaded so use one of the provided bolts. Otherwise the left side was easy to install. On the right side, you have to remove the muffler guard, and remove the two bolts that hold the muffler on to let the muffler drop a little. (The guard and the muffler mount bracket interfere with getting the bolt through the hole.) There is a hole rearward of the rear muffler bolt that you use to attach the rack with the provided bolt, washers, and nut. The front mount point uses the rearward passenger peg bolt location. I could not get the stock bolt to catch the threads with the passenger peg bracket installed. It's just not long enough. I had to remove the passenger peg bracket completely. Then the bolt would catch the threads and go on. So you'll lose the use of the passenger peg. Once you get the rear bolt installed, you can reattach the muffler bolts. Then reinstall the muffler guard. A simple sheet of paper with that much explanation would have saved a lot of frustration and time. I came really close to packing it all back up and sending it back.Other items of detail that I thought should be addressed are: 1) The provided bolts are 12mm hex head and the nut is 13mm. Requires a socket and/or open or box end wrench. The stock muffler bolts are 12mm; the passenger peg bolts are either a 4 or 5 hex. It would have been nice to limit the number of tools you have to use to get the rack on or off by providing mounting hardware that matched the other stock hardware. 2) The nut is not a lock nut. I suggest using a lock washer under it or get a lock nut with the nylon insert. 3) Provide a bolt long enough so the passenger peg can be retained. One other thing to note: Be careful when you unpack the rack. It is well wrapped in cellophane and the hardware is in a clear ziploc bag taped to the cellophane. I almost missed it. I saw it as I was getting ready to throw the cellophane in the trash. It was the stickers in the bag that caught my eye.The rack otherwise feels pretty sturdy. I was able to fit my Wolfman Expedition Dry Saddlebags on it. Only time will tell how it will hold up. I plan on updating my review after it's been put to the test. Like in a year or so.

It fits perfect. Easy to install.....check for safety notes !
It fits perfect. Easy to install. I crashed my WR250R in dirt and mud, and the rack help me to lift.I also ordered a Wolfman Luggage E-12 Saddle Bags, but I could not fit it over the rack, so I had to re-sell it.The Dirtrack is lite and practical and I plan to mount a Rotopax 1 Gallon on the left inside. This is my second review, three months after using the racks. Last trip I crashed (again) while riding off-road in Death Valley. My boot got caught between the right side X Dirtrack rack and the ground. I sprained my ankle and it turned black and blue. This was not the first time my left boot got caught by the metal rack. I removed it. I plan to keep the left side only, which hasa different shape.

Poorly Designed Racks
I purchased these racks in hopes of using them with some lightweight soft luggage and chose them because of their relatively simple-looking install and low profile looking design especially compared to the widely available tusk pannier system. However, this rack system presented several problems for me.First, you must remove both the passenger footpegs and the helmet lock to install these racks.Second, the exhaust side rack sticks out approximately 6 inches further from the center than the chain side, making the rack excessively wide (too wide for small soft bags) and unbalanced (also tends to catch your leg as you dismount the bike presenting a legitimate safety concern).Third, the installation hardware and instructions were non-existent, had to source my own bolts and washers. Finally, once installed the racks had significant flex and more concerningly the flex seemed to be from the thin metal on the two connection points to the frame. I am certain that this design would damage the subframe before taking damage itself. The company doesn't seem bad to work with if you like their product, shipping was much quicker than quoted on amazon, and they quickly authorized my return request. However, for buyers in the US it should be noted that the company is located in Canada (return shipping from CA is 70$ to get a 150$ return if you don't like it).
