Although the papers lasted a long time it was time to try a stainless steel filter when they started to run low, the Purposefull filter looks to be well made and works great after three weeks of use, I have started to use the inversion method too and there is some Crema but not the covering say from a machine - it is not a big issue anyway! The taste is improved a little I am just happy to have less paper waste .The only negative I can think of with S/Steel filters is that you need to give it a quick rinse after each use but I can live with that!Happy to recommend!

It works with coarse grinds, however I have had fine grind end up in my coffee through the filter. I can't really comment on any taste improvement as this is the first filter I tried with my Aeropresss (I didn't bother with the paper filters). It does make the Aeropress much harder to push down to the point where I've been worried about shattering my mug and having pieces flying all over the place. It's also slightly too small than the cap, so the alignment with the Aeropress is a bit tricky, especially with the inverted method

Flows faster than expected, so best to use inverted method. Better fit than the rigid metal filters although more awkward to scrape the coffee off, but then only needs a quick rinse. Would recommend if you don't like the waste of single use paper filters.

Excellent. Works perfectly. I'm not using the inverted method, but even so the coffee stays in the tube long enough to brew and the taste is fine. I couldn't say better necessarily, but absolutely fine. Cleaning is easy: the filter comes off the 'puck' of coffee grounds quite cleanly, and you just rinse it under a tap for a second or two or have a dedicated 'finger bowl' of water to dip it into. No bother at all. Recommended.

Annoyingly flimsy. Sometimes gets crumpled when screwing the lid on and then leaks everywhere. The mesh is fine but go for a version that has a hard time around the edge instead of this one.

I've been using this for about a week, the edges have begun to fray a tiny bit. Very fine mesh, very effective filter, feels nice in your hand. It's a bit of a pain to remove it from the press, coffee sticks to it, but cleans up easily, the edge catches when you use a cloth. Good replacement for the paper filters.

Product is great but the image of two filters is misleading. There is one filter per pack.

After using this for several months and as someone who makes 2-3 Aeropress a day, I feel qualified to write this.Pros:- Great tasting coffee- Much better than the paper filters, or other more porous "mesh" filters our there like the Koffi oneCons:- The mesh can degrade. I tried washing it and the metallic strands it's made out of started to fray. Easily rectified by only washing using a nylon bristle brush.- As it's a very fine mesh, it does clog up over time. You'll see this when coffee starts to seep out of the mug when you're pressing in your AeroPress. Boiling it with a little bit of water with bicarbonate of soda, or washing up liquid in a steel pan for a few minutes sorts it out quick.The after-sales service from the seller was great. I pointed out the fault I'd had, and they were very quick to sort me out. Also, if I lost mine today, I'd instantly order this as a replacement which is an instant 5 star review from me usually.I'd suggest a slight improvement of a retaining circle for the mesh, but I don't know how difficult this will be to manufacture. It will probably push costs up. I'd also suggest a set of different micron sized filters so you can play around with how the coffee tastes if possible.All in all, this is a great product that will take your coffee to the next level!
