Higurashi When They Cry: Curse Killing Arc, Vol. 2

Another thrilling arc
As with the previous arcs this pageturner had me on the edge of my seat and I read this (and volume 1) in one sitting. Complete with vivid deaths, confusing moments and horrific scenarios just like the rest of the series it is a good addition. The first volume of the arc was slow and slightly tedious until the end but this one was packed to the brim with action and mystery, my brain is still buzzing from it. I didn't expect to enjoy this arc that much as I previously cared little for Satoko (probably influenced by the eye opening arc and Shion's warped view of her) but I was surprisingly tempted to purchase the answer arc for it next like I had done with the two previous ones but I'm instead opting for the Time Killing arc as Rika is my favourite so far. After reading Satoko's side of the story I empathise with her and like her more although like usual I can't figure out any theories yet except for [spoilers] a strong hunch that it was Shion on the phone instead of Mion, well it's pretty much confirmed as Satoshi asked Shion, not Mion anyway.
