Mrsflatpack BOURNE HIGHSLEEPER BED - M1610 (Loft Pine)

Was sceptical about buying this bed for my 11 year old after reading that the structure wobbled. It doesn't at all. Maybe certain parts were not put together properly? Be careful not to do what my husband did and measure the wall of my daughter's room and order this bed if you don't have a gap at the end of the bed in the room. This bed was nearly the exact size as the width we wanted it to fit into and because of this (obviously now) he couldn't slide it into the gap or make it up within the gap as couldn't screw the end section on. I would say measure the gap and if there's an end wall make sure there's at least a foot extra of space and build the unit in the space.

Initially concerned after reading reviews that I wouldn't be able to fit the bed into the space as I only had about 80mm extra space at the end of the bed, but I managed to slide it into position easily enough - and managed to assemble the whole thing on my own (some bit were a little tricky, but achievable) - Ideally an extra pair of hands would be beneficial, but not essential. There is extra space behind the bed that my son uses as his 'secret' space (accessed under the desk section) - I have put LED lights underneath for him. The only negative comments are perhaps that the main upper facia board is unfinished underneath, and the top section (or underside of the bed) over the desk area could do with a cover panel to make it a little neater perhaps - but overall, happy with the bed for the cost :-) Instructions are clear (mostly) and I assembled it over a few nights with a glass of vino - probably took around 5-6 Hrs in total.

Give yourself plenty of time to build this item and towards the end you will need 3-4 people to hold all the parts while the last side goes on. The right hand side of the wardrobe isn't really worth it as you can't hang anything as it drags on the draws. I might see about raising the rail in it one day. Does the job, my daughter loves it, I have kept the back of the wardrobe as there is loads of space behind to store things you don't always need.

My 8 year old loves it. Needs 3 people to put it together just for holding pieces in place but reasonably easy to construct. Instructions were easy and accurate. Steps that double as storage are great space saving idea

Really good value. My wee girl loved it. Wee bit tricky to build but it is D.I.Y. and you expect this, this is why it is as cheap. Really good and not too high that I can't kiss my daughter goodnight.

The delivery of the bed was much faster than expected which was perfect in time for Christmas. My son loves his new bed. The draws are a poor fit but it dose not spoil the bed. happy

The product comes in 4 large boxes, that was quite convenient. Assembling the bed wasn't easy and some instructions were not very clear for me but most images were clear to figure out. As far as strength once every screw is tightened it is quite sturdy and very heavy to move about so building on the place desired is more convenient.Can't say anything yet about durability since I had it for about 2 weeks, but will report back on the future for updates.Wardrobe and drawers are quite small would definetly do with larger or extra storage space.

Lovely unit but the wardrobe could be dipper as there is plenty of space behind it plus bed front is not finished at the bottom. Other than that very happy
