The Girl with the Loudest Voice

We immediately purchased this book after a friend posted that her daughter and husband wrote it. We love all books and this was a no brainer to buy. My 8 year old immediately started to read it and was so shocked and in awe that a kid, just like him could write a book. He said “ Wow, Ellie was so brave to write that letter!” I think it sent a positive and amazing message to him that if you really want to accomplish something, you definitely can. Loved the vibrant illustrations and tip at the end of the story. Definitely one we will keep on shelf for a long time.

What a great (true!) story with great illustrations! It even has suggestions for how other kids can make their voices heard. Perfect for encouraging everyone (especially little girls) to get involved.

I have two girls and it’s important to me that they feel like their voices matter - not just as girls but as children as well. When you have a dream, it can seem scary and hard to achieve but if we don’t try, we won’t even give that dream a chance to happen. This book touches so well on both those points and was a great read that we enjoyed as a family. I highly recommend it!

Based on a true story of how one young girl dreamt big, this book shows children everywhere the power of using their voices. Ellie even gives them examples of ways that they can make their voices be heard. It is well written and illustrated in a way that will appeal to children and is sure to be a great conversation starter!

My kiddos and I enjoyed reading this book together! My son was immediately inspired to write a letter to the VP and now wants to run for his school council in the near future! We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the pictures at the end, making the story even more compelling knowing they were based on true events. So great to see a young girl write about her journey in meeting the VP and believing that she can be President one day! Highly recommend for young readers, no matter what your political beliefs are!
