Seems Good but is it Working?
Disclaimer, this is my first time owning and using and anti static wrist strap. I've handled and repaired many different kinds of electronic devices over the years without one and never ruined a device doing so but finally decided I probably have been pushing my luck. I had this offered to me to review so knowing I should have one, I got it.With that said I did a little research to find out how to test this and if it is working or not. What I found is that there is really only a few different ways to test these kinds of straps. For starters you cannot test these with a continuity tester due to the internal high-resistance resistor within the cord. I actually tried with my multimeter and it did not register continuity as I had read it wouldn't. You could test this by using a Van der Graaf generator but I do not have one and it is likely most of you reading this do not as well. If you have an adjustable power supply you could also apply a small amount of voltage across the cord and measure the voltage drop across the cord to see if voltage is flowing through the cord or not. In my case and with this strap I did verify voltage was able to flow across the cord with a small amount of voltage drop. Next, with a multimeter you could also check the resistance of the cord. With my strap I found a resistance of .972 mega ohms. In other words this anti static wrist strap should work as advertised.Something to note however is that it is my understanding that most reputable anti static straps come labeled with the resistance of the cord/resister stamped or written somewhere on the band or cord so that you have something to verify against when testing the strap/cord. This particular wrist strap does not state anywhere what the resistance should be. Not in the item listing nor on the product itself. What I have read is that most reputable anti static wrist straps typically have an internal resistance of 1 mega ohm which this one does not. It is however very close at .972 mega ohms.Lastly I have also read that a reputable anti static strap typically has some kind of conductive material woven into the band itself. I cannot verify this and it is not mentioned in the item description so it would probably be best to make sure the metal in the strap is making contact with your skin.Overall I think this strap should work just fine. I just don't get the impression it is a high quality strap and is why I gave it 4 stars.

Great Anti Static Wrist strap
These Anti-Static wrist straps measured on my ohm meter right where they should. The high resistance prevents a sudden static discharge when you tie onto a ground. When hooking this up to your ground it bleeds the static off just slow enough to prevent a spark. If youβre working with electronics like computer memory even an unseen discharge can turn the some expensive memory into toast. In explosive or flammable environments the last thing you want is a spark caused by anything. Spraying very flammable paints like lacquer can be deadly, so in these environments you want to check your wrist strap after you put one on and before entering that environment. I found these wrist straps are comfortable to wear and the grounding plate that touches your skin is larger than many others. So whatever thing that you doing that requires a wrist straps these are an excellent choice and a good value.

Good value
Not bad, does what it's supposed to as far as I can tell. 2 pack is nice, one for at home and one for work. Fits comfortably and length is ok even with my 9 inch wrists.

Helps keep your electronics safe
I used to use one of these anti static wrist straps in my electronics labs and also have one at home for working on fixing electronics - like replacing cell phone batteries. My old one got loose over time as the elastic wore out. This strap works and the wrist band is not just elastic, but also it adjustable with a buckle. The coiled cord is removable with a snap and the alligator clip is strong to attach you to a ground. With the new smaller chips in electronics these days, it's more important to protect them from static electricity zaps when you open up the cases to work on them. So, I'm glad to have this on my workbench to provide secure grounding.
