Beautifully heartfelt and deep
When The Stars Rise may have risen in the end, but not before the delivery of a truly beautifully deep narrative. It was no wonder Emery Rose had you hook, line and sinker in this all consuming real page turner that resulted in being 5⭐️ as well as a Top Fav 2024 read of mine. With the deliverance of an impactful journey that took you on a super emotionally charged ride that was angsty filled above and beyond the brim, Noah and Hayley kept you gripped on tightly throughout. All the whilst bringing you to the edge of your seat constantly courtesy of the emotional chaos that inflicted pain from the heartache, sadness, grief and hurt.Only to soothe those wounds by tugging on your heartstrings from the heartfelt tenderness, affectionate devotion and heartwarming adoration, alongside the sparkling chemistry that had temperatures rising from the Spicy steamy moments.A love story that may have been a Hot Mess, but nonetheless well worth the ride, so be prepared to fall hard and deep down the abyss. You know a book is truly amazing when the author has you at a loss of words, so much so that you can’t even comprehend how to find the words to write a review that will do the book justice with telling how incredibly fantastic it really was.Emery Rose has done it yet again, but that is no surprise considering the books she has delivered to date from the Lost Stars series.Making When The Stars Rise the latest addition to that.Noah James McCallister and Hayley ‘Hales’ Peterson aka Hayley Saint James were first introduced to us at just 4 years old in When The Stars Fall. And now at 22 years of age, it is their time to shine in telling their story that went from Childhood Best Friends to Lovers back to Best Friends who had a Second and Third Chance.Just like Jude and Lila, Noah and Hayley’s love story may have been written in their stars. However the journey they ventured upon proved it was going to be far from easy, courtesy of their past and present issues that always seemed to be at play along the way.Trekking through trials and tribulations that included fighting their own personal inner demons considering the battles they faced individually and simultaneously together from the trauma bond they shared impacted the two heavily. Especially when you took into account the many hurdles and obstacles they just kept on coming their way, determining if their Third Chance would be it for them. Or break them, causing them to walk away.At the same time the results they got from all this helped them in a way to see the bigger picture, coming to the conclusion from knowing and understanding whether all that they were fighting for to be with each other worth it.“I can see in his eyes that he understands what I mean without having to say it. He feels it, too—this deep connection that goes beyond sex. I don’t know where he begins and I end.”Although Noah and Hayley went through their fair shares of ups, downs, highs and lows with having to climb many high mountains in their relationship. The work that they put into it, not only from all the fighting they did with pushing through, but also not wanting to give up proved they were it, soulmates with being each others endgame. Deserving the HEA they had fought so incredibly hard for. There were times where When The Stars Rise did give me vibes that had me reminiscing of the past books from the series. Yet never did it feel the same with Emery ensuring that the story of their journey was one of their very own.All Noah and Hayley completely and wholly. If there are somethings that Emery Rose does and that too so very incredibly well it would be one how her words translated all the heart and soul she poured into the storytelling of Noah and Hayley. The nitty, gritty, rawness truly came through from being able to dive down thoroughly into the character development of Noah and Hayley, where they shined bright from the in-depth deep level of exploration we were given thanks to their POV chapters that showed their inner monologue, opening them on an even further scale.Another would be the majorly intense emotionally charged, highly angsty driven rollercoaster she had us riding throughout. The outpour of heavy emotions alongside the angsty-ness within When The Stars Rise hit deep and hard from the impact it had on me alone.Honestly the punches just kept on rolling from the deep sentiments that just came gushing out endlessly when delving deeper into Noah and Hayley.Especially in regards to their feelings towards one another that bought out many occasions of angst (as well as from within their lives given their careers) that just always seemed to be on blast, particularly in their inner monologue. It has to be said, I absolutely loved and enjoyed the sibling group chat Noah had between himself and his siblings Levi, Gracie and Zane.So much so, it had me wishing there had been more group chat moments given how truly hilarious it was with seeing the way the siblings interacted with one another. And of course can’t forget about the appearances of other McCallister family members in the form of secondary characters, particularly Daddy Jude! Swoon! It was nice to get an update on them to see how they were doing and what they were up to as of late.Noah and Hayley’s story was truly an amazingly incredible and beautifully deep one that had you hook, line and sinker all the way in this truly real page turner.Major applaud to Emery Rose for the chefs kiss that is When The Stars Rise.As well as for the wrapping up of Lost Stars series, which was done so beautifully, even though it is bittersweet knowing the chapter has now officially closed on the spectacular storytelling of the family that was the McCallister’s.

My Favorite Series!!!
Have you ever had a book feel like home? Like you were a member of the family? That is how I feel about the "Lost Stars" series and the McCallister Family. They are my home and family. This series is my go to comfort series and I am so sad that the series has come to an ending with sweet little Noah and Hayley's book. When I tell you I was not ready for them to be grown...I.WAS.NOT.READY. So much pain and trauma happened to this carefree little boy and little girl from the previous books and it broke my heart. I spent most of this book in tears. Sad tears, happy tears, all of the tears. Lila and Brody are my two favorite characters. They were broken and experienced trauma at such a young age and was able to overcome it and become the best parents imaginable to Noah. It broke my heart that there was a rift between Noah and his dad for two years, because Noah was Brody's whole world and Noah always thought his daddy was 10 foot tall and bulletproof. But due to tragic circumstances, secrets are revealed that rocked both Noah and Hayley's world, after already being rocked by an extremely tragic event that led to them finding out in the worst possible way that Noah's stepmom Shiloh was actually Hayley's birth mother. This event caused Noah to become an addict. An adrenaline addict, always chasing the next rush doing the most extreme sports possible. He was always Hayley's protector and even after their break ups, they were still each others 2 AM person, no matter what. At this point, I feel like I am just rambling. There is so much to unpack in this book. Honestly, I am still reeling. I always knew little Hayley would become a rock star like her biological mom. I loved that her biological father, Dean F'ing Buchon<-- read that in Brody's voice, had one of the best redemption arcs I have ever read. I loved that Jude understood that Noah had PTSD even when Noah did not think he did. I loved that there were cameos from previous characters, especially Evie and Ridge. I am really going to miss this series. I know Emery Rose has said this is the last book in the series, but I am really hoping we get a book for Gideon and I would love to have books for the younger generation. A girl can dream...

I devoured this book and became completely immersed in Noah and Hayley’s story. When The Stars Rise was so much more than I thought it was going to be honestly, I mean I thought I was prepared but I wasn’t. I was immediately pulled in with prologue. Noah and Hayley’s story is filled with angst, love, heartbreak, loss, grief, and more. There is just something so beautiful about overcoming tragedy with an all consuming love that leaves me breathless and wanting more.✨Childhood friends to Lovers✨Trauma Bonding✨Found Family✨Pop Star / Extreme Athlete✨Forced Proximity✨Second ChancePlease check trigger warnings.
