Perfect finale to an amazing series
This story is the beautiful finale to a series that had me addicted from the start. Emery Rose is an amazing storyteller and takes you on a journey that will stay with you forever.Your meet Noah and Hayley in this book. You got glimpses of them from when Noah was born, to his Daddy Jude moments. I had a lovely moment of reminiscing during the first part of the book.Noah and Hayley are all grown up and forging their own paths as adults, but still best friend supporting each other. Hayley is touring as a successful artist, and she is working through her past with the support of her family and friends. Noah is asked to join her tour, to make a behind the scenes video. He is social media famous, famous for his adrenaline junkie videos. During the tour to get enough backstory to understand the push and pull between them. You really feel for what keeps pulling them apart, and keep hoping they will be able to overcome their issues, mature and develop during this period to come back together. Sometimes its hard to recognise the little boy who would talk about Daddy Jude lol! Its lovely to see Jude and Lilah and Brody and Shiloh. The story telling is spectacular as always, combining insight into the beloved characters from earlier booms, as well as keeping the new story of Hayley and Noah progressing is accomplished so beautifully. Its part of the beauty of the book. Sad to see the McAllisters end. But this ending was perfect!

Love this series, but this wasn't a favourite...
I have read and loved all the books in this series. Unfortunately, this wasn't my favourite. I love the fact its a next generation story and we saw Haley and Noah as kids in when the stars fall and when the storm breaks (books 1 & 2 in the series). However, this book can be read as a standalone.I also loved the crossover with the kids from the Love & Chaos series.I was always uncomfortable about Shiloh seeking out Hayley, and essentially stalking her, it felt highly unethical. The fact she was around young Hayley so much without Hayley or her parents knowing she was her birth mum was wrong. No wonder it had such an impact on Noah and Hayley when they found out - in the worst possible circumstances at just 16. It is stated matter of fact that Hayley just went to live with Shiloh and Brody.. when in actual fact Shiloh would have had no legal or parental rights.. and surely it would have been better for Hayley to live with a different family and not with her boyfriend!Overall I enjoyed the book but didn't LOVE it and have loved other books in this series much more... would give 3.5 if could give halves!

Happily Ever After
When The Stars Rise may have risen in the end, but not before the delivery of a truly beautifully deep narrative. It was no wonder Emery Rose had you hook, line and sinker in this all consuming real page turner that resulted in being 5⭐️ as well as a Top Fav 2024 read of mine. With the deliverance of an impactful journey that took you on a super emotionally charged ride that was angsty filled above and beyond the brim, Noah and Hayley kept you gripped on tightly throughout. All the whilst bringing you to the edge of your seat constantly courtesy of the emotional chaos that inflicted pain from the heartache, sadness, grief and hurt.Only to soothe those wounds by tugging on your heartstrings from the heartfelt tenderness, affectionate devotion and heartwarming adoration, alongside the sparkling chemistry that had temperatures rising from the Spicy steamy moments.A love story that may have been a Hot Mess, but nonetheless well worth the ride, so be prepared to fall hard and deep down the abyss. You know a book is truly amazing when the author has you at a loss of words, so much so that you can’t even comprehend how to find the words to write a review that will do the book justice with telling how incredibly fantastic it really was.Emery Rose has done it yet again, but that is no surprise considering the books she has delivered to date from the Lost Stars series.Making When The Stars Rise the latest addition to that.Noah James McCallister and Hayley ‘Hales’ Peterson aka Hayley Saint James were first introduced to us at just 4 years old in When The Stars Fall. And now at 22 years of age, it is their time to shine in telling their story that went from Childhood Best Friends to Lovers back to Best Friends who had a Second and Third Chance.Just like Jude and Lila, Noah and Hayley’s love story may have been written in their stars. However the journey they ventured upon proved it was going to be far from easy, courtesy of their past and present issues that always seemed to be at play along the way.Trekking through trials and tribulations that included fighting their own personal inner demons considering the battles they faced individually and simultaneously together from the trauma bond they shared impacted the two heavily. Especially when you took into account the many hurdles and obstacles they just kept on coming their way, determining if their Third Chance would be it for them. Or break them, causing them to walk away.At the same time the results they got from all this helped them in a way to see the bigger picture, coming to the conclusion from knowing and understanding whether all that they were fighting for to be with each other worth it.“I can see in his eyes that he understands what I mean without having to say it. He feels it, too—this deep connection that goes beyond sex. I don’t know where he begins and I end.”Although Noah and Hayley went through their fair shares of ups, downs, highs and lows with having to climb many high mountains in their relationship. The work that they put into it, not only from all the fighting they did with pushing through, but also not wanting to give up proved they were it, soulmates with being each others endgame. Deserving the HEA they had fought so incredibly hard for. There were times where When The Stars Rise did give me vibes that had me reminiscing of the past books from the series. Yet never did it feel the same with Emery ensuring that the story of their journey was one of their very own.All Noah and Hayley completely and wholly. If there are somethings that Emery Rose does and that too so very incredibly well it would be one how her words translated all the heart and soul she poured into the storytelling of Noah and Hayley. The nitty, gritty, rawness truly came through from being able to dive down thoroughly into the character development of Noah and Hayley, where they shined bright from the in-depth deep level of exploration we were given thanks to their POV chapters that showed their inner monologue, opening them on an even further scale.Another would be the majorly intense emotionally charged, highly angsty driven rollercoaster she had us riding throughout. The outpour of heavy emotions alongside the angsty-ness within When The Stars Rise hit deep and hard from the impact it had on me alone.Honestly the punches just kept on rolling from the deep sentiments that just came gushing out endlessly when delving deeper into Noah and Hayley.Especially in regards to their feelings towards one another that bought out many occasions of angst (as well as from within their lives given their careers) that just always seemed to be on blast, particularly in their inner monologue. It has to be said, I absolutely loved and enjoyed the sibling group chat Noah had between himself and his siblings Levi, Gracie and Zane.So much so, it had me wishing there had been more group chat moments given how truly hilarious it was with seeing the way the siblings interacted with one another. And of course can’t forget about the appearances of other McCallister family members in the form of secondary characters, particularly Daddy Jude! Swoon! It was nice to get an update on them to see how they were doing and what they were up to as of late.Noah and Hayley’s story was truly an amazingly incredible and beautifully deep one that had you hook, line and sinker all the way in this truly real page turner.Major applaud to Emery Rose for the chefs kiss that is When The Stars Rise.As well as for the wrapping up of Lost Stars series, which was done so beautifully, even though it is bittersweet knowing the chapter has now officially closed on the spectacular storytelling of the family that was the McCallister’s.

What can't you write? This book is so good, it does follow on characters but you can read it as a standalone it's just easier to know whos who if your reas previous books ,🔥but this book was everything, I loved 4 year old Noah in Jude and Lilas book, so when he got a book of his own of course I was going to read it!! Soul mates and True love truly does exist in these books!! Read it now!

Soulmates!!
This is the fifth book in this incredible series, and this is Noah and Hayley’s story. These two were childhood best friends and destined soulmates, who became more. Now Noah is an extreme athlete, and Hayley is a pop star. Having endured so much life in her life, Hayley is determined to prove to Noah he is taking his adrenaline stunts too far, so she hires him to go on tour with her for 6-weeks as her videographer, and hopefully to prove to him there is so much more in life. This is a beautifully written story which is an emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, heartbreak, romance, second chances, revelations, challenges, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, and a steamy captivating page turner.I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Just wow.
This book had me a chokehold from the first words to the final words. These are characters that you watched grow up in previous books in the series. But I wasn’t expecting this book to take me on such an emotional journey. Between prepared for lots of tension, angst, chemistry, steam, tears and love.Haley and Noah have a strong and intense past and present but their chemistry is undeniable. There’s no doubt these two love each other either when they’re unsure if they are worthy of each other. I enjoyed how you got to see the families come together and this whole world came full circle.

-Childhood friends to lovers-Shared trauma-Soulmates-Rockstar x Extreme Athlete-Second ChanceishSecond chance romances are not my usual pick up, but when I came across this signup, it was my sign to finally give this series a go. Noah and Hayley's story could be read as a standalone, but to fully appreciate their journey, I would read the other four novels in the series. This book is an emotional ride you will not regret hopping on. The storyline takes you through the haunting memories of their past, as well as the frustrating impact it has on their present. Both main characters have been running in their own ways from the truth and each other. If they are meant to have the future they dreamed of, they need to find a way to rise from the ashes. Noah and Hayley are incredibly stubborn, and at times, their happy ending feels so far out of reach. I wanted to shake them as much as I wanted to hug them, but it is so worth it.When The Stars Rise is an angst filled, breathtaking story of real, true, built to last love, and a lovely end to this series.Available now in paperback and Kindle editions 🖤

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was fun because it is the second generation of the McCallister's so we jump to the future. This couple has a beautiful childhood love to lovers but bad situations and their youth drive them apart. At times they are frustrating but then I remember how young they are. The concert tour background was enjoyable and so were many supporting characters. Good read.

Perfect ending to a series
Emery Rose never disappoints. Her stories give all the feels and my heart hurt for Noah & Hayley and the things they experienced. The love they share runs deep and after all the heartache they've gone through it's apparent that they're soulmates because they continue to find their way back to one another. If you like angst, you should definitely add this to your tbr.I'm sad this series is over but I enjoyed every single book and this story was a nice ending!

Perfect ending to this series
I wasn't prepared for how much I would love this book and I couldn't stop thinking about it for days after I finished it. I read this immediately after When the Storm Breaks, both because I wanted to see how Shiloh + Brody ended up, and because I couldn't pass up another musician FMC (obvi). These two were so protective of one another, even when they weren't together and that's something that's stuck with me. When the paparazzi is trying to get a picture of the two of them and Noah carries her away? Be still my heart. These two both carry a lot of real pain and trauma that I think was handled very well and with care. Definitely check the TWs though because it is heavy.I *love* childhood friends to lovers to awkward and back to lovers, and this is one of the best.TROPES🎤 Musician FMC🏍️ Daredevil MMC🎤 Last Chance Romance🏍️ Childhood Friends to Lovers🎤 Found Family (ish)🏍️ Forced ProximityTW: Loss of parents, suicide, PTSD, panic attacks
