The belt is comfortable and works well
The original belt I received had standard rivets which broke after light use. The company provided me with a replacement free of charge. The belt is comfortable and works well. I am happy with my purchase.A Large belt fits me perfect on the 5th hole(5 of 9) for use during lifts. The Medium belt was too small and barely allowed me to secure at the first hole for use during lifts. My pants size is roughly 34.Pulling a tape very tightly around my waist measures 32.Pulling a tape gently around my waist measures 36.So for me, my pants size was the most accurate fit with the product sizing guide. With the sizing info out of the way, I really like this belt. My prior belt was one of those older, thinner, leather belts(2" in the front and 4" in the back) and this is a nice upgrade. Seems built very strong. I even like the logo and overall feel and color. I could find no defects at all. The comfort is not as stiff as I expected out of the box. Looks like it will break-in nicely. I only use a belt for my top working sets and it felt great to use this belt compared to my old belt. It did not cause me any bruising or pinching when used with deadlift, overhead press and dumbbell rows so far. I suspect it might cause some marks when squatting until it is broken in. But I prefer it be firm, so I expect to have a break in period. It just felt very good and I'm happy with it. I chose a product with a single prong design out of personal preference.

Good fit, Great price
The belt was everything I was looking for with a good price. It well made, heavy duty, thick as should be. Anyone that has lifted heavy before knows thin belts will give under heavy loads will get you hurt. The single clasp design is simple to use when “tightening” up vs the doubles that can be a pain. Some lifters like the belt directly on the skin which this would be a little uncomfortable with this design, however I’ve always wore a shirt so no worries. I’m 6’1” 250 lbs, my son is 5’11” 250 lbs and it fits us both well with no pinching. (I will be purchasing another one soon, wanted to test the waters so to speak) Did I mention price? Price is excellent considering belts of this design (size and thickness) are normally $115-150 range. For now it’s perfect for the amount of heavy lifting I’m doing (2-3xs per week). Will it be the same in a year or 3? I think so.

Old School Quality
This is a quality belt. I would take this over the Inzer Forever belt every time. It is quality leather and it is STIFF. You will have to break it in with a leather conditioner like starting with a new baseball glove. The process sucks, but it is unavoidable. I used a leather conditioner and worked the belt to help loosen it up. It also darkened the belt to a beautiful old school appearance. After the first time doing squats and deads....the belt began to loosen up quite a bit. Size... I am 6'0" and I weigh 255. I wear a size 40 waist in Carhart pants. Yeah...I have a little bit of a gut...I purchased the XL and I am pretty much in the middle of the hole selections. Perfect for me. The belt was purchased using PRIME and I received it in 4 days...the original estimate said I would receive it in 5 days.

I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for the two minor flaws
3 months in and overall the belt is fantastic. My waist at the belly button is 32 inches and the belt is a size medium, and there is room to tighten it or loosen it. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for the two minor flaws shown in my pictures. the tongue is separating slightly and the thread is coming undone in one spot. Aside from that it has held up great from 1-4 uses per week since I've owned it.6/5/2019 6-ish month update. The hole for the prong is starting to stretch a little bit so it's not as tight as it used to be. I've increased usage to a consistent 3-4 times per week, so take that into consideration. If you use it less it might not stretch as easily. Still 4/5 starsI use it primarily for squats and deadlifts, but I added d-rings on each side so I can also use it with my gymnastic "dream machine"

Buy with confidence
I've used the belt only a handful of times, but it's been strong and sturdy thus far. I really like the rivets that can be tightened with a flathead screw driver should they loosen. The materials that the belt is constructed from seem to do their job well. I'm 6'1", 250 lbs with a 43"-44" waiste; the XL fits perfectly. My gym partner has been using his belt (different model, same company) daily for years and it has held up just fine.More than anything, Steel Sweat customer service was absolutely amazing. There was an issue with packaging in their assembly site and I was delivered an incorrect product. Customer service response time was phenomenal and they made sure to rectify the problem. The piece of mind that great customer service gives me makes Steel Sweat an easy choice should my waisted line ever change.

Warning - Quality Not As Pictured
I had tried on a friend's belt that he ordered from the same listing and it was great quality, supple leather almost like a catcher's mitt. I was hoping for the same quality, but I am very disappointed with the belt I received. The facing of the leather is low-quality, dry, and wrinkled almost to the point of cracking and I had only taken it out of the box. The color is also much different than the one in the listing. This one is a chocolate color and the listing shows a tan color. I don't know if quality control has been reduced over time but the listing doesn't reflect the product you will receive.
