Excellent Japanese budget knife
Workmanship is excellent. Handle has no lip or edges - ground super smooth all around. Blase finish is perfect. Sharpness is super sharp. This is a chrome molybdenum stainless steel with a Rc of 58. If you want a blade with VG-10 you can expect to pay 4 times more and even higher. I debated weather to go for VG-10 but my intended use for this Nakiri knife was for a general purpose knife that more than likely others would end up using in the kitchen. My better knives are stored out of sight of others who would not use care as I would. So, I decided to get this excellent knife. I needed to be able to grab it for immediate kitchen use and not have to worry about it.

Excellent quality and fair price
A genuine Japanese knife, very sharp. This is the real deal at a fair price. Excellent quality, light balanced and not flimsy.

Perfect Chef’s Knife for Single People
I wanted a smaller chef’s knife as a single guy I don’t chop a lot of vegetables on a big bamboo cutting board as I only prepare foods for myself on a smaller cutting board and this knife is perfect because it’s extremely sharp versatile and lifetime warranty. It’s a great knife that I can hone and sharpen with ease.

Initial impressions are good!
This is only an initial impression, I will return with more if needed.Out of the box, this has a great feel for such an inexpensive knife. I was looking for a Japanese paring knife for my RV, this sealed to be a good option and at a disposable price. Mind you, my regular kitchen knives include Kikuichi, 5-Star Henkel, and others. So I was not expecting much.So I have been pleasantly surprised. Feel is very good. Sharpness is excellent. Small amount of flex for a paring knife is just right. Looks good.If this were a 70 dollar paring knife, I would probably give it a 4-star rating. But 15 bucks?Hopefully, long term reviews will be as good.

really light.
It is ok to use for a month. After that you need sharpening frequently.

Made in Japan
I just received this Nakiri knife. I’ve only sliced one tomato and 10 mushrooms with it. It’s very sharp and cut thru those 2 items with ease. It’s way too soon to write a good review.I had bought a 3x more expensive Japanese Nakiri for my son and he loves it for slicing soft vegetables.I didn’t want to spend as much for myself, but still wanted a Japanese Nakiri and found this one at an affordable price.Since Nakiri is a Japanese style knife, it was important to me that the knife was made in Japan and not in China. So far I’m very pleased with the look, the handling and the sharpness.Neither my son’s knife nor this one came with a knife sheath and it is a needed item due to their shape won’t fit into most knife blocks and their extremely sharp and fine edge needs to be protected.I bought 2 knife sheaths for our 2 Nakiri knives. For the price, this brand seems to be very good.
